According to the email ei got from tradedoubler they do not deal with spyware companies
I still have the email also.
Or have I been told a porky
Tradedoubler support and promote adware/spyware companies such as 180 solutions and WhenU to their merchants across Europe. It appears that they will continue working with them for the immediate future, whilst affiliates such as yourselves continue to drive traffic to their merchants.
Its encouraged that you research the way adware/spyware companies work and the implications this could have on your business and revenue. Many affiliates feel its appropriate to swap links to other networks that have an anti spyware stance however it appears some affiliates really couldn't care less.
At the end of the day it’s a democracy, its your business, your future and your industry. You have to make a choice.
Here are some links on the spyware/adware topic. Feel free to add any additional ones to this thread.
Swap Your Links - Tradedoubler merchants on other networks.
Parasiteware - Video Evidence - Video evidence of the tricks of some parasiteware / adware companies.
How to Swap links - A useful spreadsheet with a wizard that will enter your affiliate ID and enable you to swap links for programs on tradedoubler to other networks that do not work with spyware / adware / parasiteware.

It's their way of dealing with "being in denial", they only refer to Spyware as Adware, really quite pathetic & immature in order to gain corporate acceptance within the marketplace.
"Unfortunately some & certainly most of their merchants are still fooled / falsely convinced by the spin and presentation delivered by a certain network with good elocution using an extensive array of colloquialism and eloquent vocabulary all veiled in allegory. - translated this means convincing b***s*** to the ignorant."
In answer to your question, yes, you have been told a real porky.
