I'm trying to create deep links to each network and not having much success getting rid of the session stuff, can anyone help:

Here's the raw O2 URLs from 2 browser sessions:

Sites like The Link that use content management systems that throw any deep link back to a "session expired" page are doing themselves no favours at all - to the extent that their CMS is probably causing them to lose business because people cannot refer directly to products on their site.

And i'm not just talking about affiliate deep linking! Friends chatting online via instant messaging often share links with each other - perhaps someone is thinking of buying something so everyone goes off to see who can find the best price on web. Deep link URLs are then copied out of the browser window and pasted into the IM client so friends can show each other what they've found. The Link and other sites like it are missing out on this completely!

The point here is the more we can educate merchants into being compatible with deep linking the easier life can be for affiliates...

Thanks for the comments and sorry for the delay in response. Deep linking and book marking is currently being worked on, for the very reasons that have been mentioned above.

This is scheduled to go live at the end of February.

    Cheers

I must say though that deeplinking to individual products on The Link is really, really easy.. just change the SKU code.

Easy.. but slooooooooow. The Link is definitely the slowest merchant site when it comes to visitors clicking through!
