dell GB are still on my list and I havn't sent anything their way for ages
id be very supprised if dell ended, as I think they are like TD's flagship merchant
Sometimes i really feel why do I bother...
Added Dell GB after it was accepted on TD now only to find today that its ended, why?
Have not had a email to inform me either![]()
Is it because no sales have come forward from me, or another reason.
I am new to this and find im adding outlets to remove them a few weeks later.

I was e-mailing TD about dell links and they replied but nothing to suggest they are ending. Are you bidding on trade terms as at the bottom of their page says they will terminate without notice.
Hi Bod,
don't lose heart, it sounds like a simple admin error. What we have noticed at TradeDoubler with our new publishers is they misread the "first contact" email from an advertiser application where they beleive they are accepted when in fact it says you are "under consideration".
We are updating automated email communications to make it a lot clearer and helpful for all publishers.
Have you spoken to anyone at TradeDoubler concerning this Dell issue? If not, please send an email through the support channel and they will look in to this issue for you. Alternatively drop me an email and I will ask a member of the support team to call you up and talk/walk you through the system interface.
Many thanks,
Nick

You must be misreading some stats or information somewhere. Dell are definitely still on TD (thank god). If you just joined up then you can still put up the links right away and you will earn the commission as long as you are finally approved.
They show as ended for me to. I did get an email from them early Jan to say they were removing everyone at the end of the month that hadn't gnerated any sales. I guess this is them getting round to sorting this out.
Dell have ended for me not on TD
Nick thanks will email you tonight, as i do have a full time job and only home for lunch.
Dell GB as its called where live on TD for me and now set at ended, this happened for another merchant too. but that got sorted.
Thanks
I too just noticed that Dell have "ended" with me.
I was accepted by Dell in February for my new site, don't use PPC (and not breaking other rules) and had no notice about this - indeed I keep getting new offers by e-mail which I've been naively adding to my site, not realising I could have my contract ended without even the courtesy of an e-mail to inform me. I guess it's a handy way for them to get some free traffic.
Pretty furious, as I was offering a reward to my customers for buying Dell. I hope, for once, I didn't make any sales, as it doesn't make me look good to refuse the offer that I've been actively promoting.
I have written to TD, but thought I'd add my twopenn'orth here too, as there seem to be others with the same problem.

I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.

No terms have been broken at all, have not bidded on any ppc search engines for this merchant.
Have emailed Nick to see how we can sort this out as its the second merchant to do it

I personally feel that it is your "first contact" email that is misleading, rather than any misinterpretation by a new publisher. Here is one below:
...yet if you try to link to the merchant you have just joined you are redirected to:Dear ***** from ********,
Welcome to ***** affiliate program.
You are now able to link to ***** and start earning money. Follow the instructions about this affiliate program at http://www.tradedoubler.co.uk.
The merchant will now evaluate your site to see if it fits in with their content. This process can take a few days, so please be patient. Once they are finished with their evaluation process you will receive an answer by e-mail as to whether you are approved as an affiliate to ***** affiliate program.
Please log in to our site to find out how to create links to specific products, text links and lots of affiliate resources and advice.
Best regards,
TradeDoubler
It has been like this for many months now, and I can understand why a new publisher could deduce that the merchant has left the network since your very email states that they can now start linking! There is no relationship between this site and the advertiser.
Cheers,
David.

I've never had a problem linking through while having my application reviewed. After you get that email you can usually start linking within 10 minutes and the sales will track. If you're accepted you'll get paid for any sales up to the acceptance point and if you get turned down those sales will not be paid.
I've never had that "no relationship" message last for more than 10 minutes or so even if I haven't been officially accepted yet.
This thread has gone off on a complete tangent.
We are not newbies who believed TD's misleading e-mails.
Dell have ended their contract with affiliates, after accepting us and without our breaking their rules and without them e-mailing us to tell us.
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.
Same here, "status ended". It appears my traffic is unwanted...
TD's email:
-----------
"Dell are doing this not because they don't want to work with smaller sites but because they have many, many affiliates who are no longer active and because Dell are such a pro-active program and send so many mailings about offers and promotions and technical changes, they don't want to contact these affiliates and fill up their inbox with information that is not relevant to them. It is a simple tidy-up exercise. "
----------
"tidy up excercise!" Well, my status is ended and they are still filling my inbox.
I dont want to work with people who treat their business partners like this. I will do them a favour and "tidy up" their stats by removing my links permanently. There are plenty of other companies that want traffic and sales and treat their partners with respect no matter how small.
Hi,
You are honoured indeed, to have received an e-mail. Do you (or anyone) have an e-mail address for Dell, as I desperately want them back, as I have put a lot of work into promoting them and it'll all be wasted otherwise.
Cheers

Give Nick an email to TD he is looking into it to find why and have it reversed to accepted
