Where is the proof and examples of this.

I have google anti popup and the lastest ms service pack with ms anti popup and I have never noticed 'target=_blank' windows with Tracker.tradedoubler.co.... links being stopped as popups.

Are you sure you don't have any other software on your 'test' machine?

Do you mean if you select the banner to show as a popup or popunder it gets blocked by the popup blocker? Of course they will.

If you mean a link with a target=_blank will get blocked then that will be nothing to do with TD and will be a problem with an over keen popup blocker - e.g. the old google bar would occasionally block such links.

It's just one of those things, but neither is a problem with TD.

Or do you mean something else?

They are blocked when avant browser pop up blocker turn on

It is probably that avant browser pop up blocker is badly coded then and is blocking "_blank" - have you tried it with other links which open a new window using "_blank" to see if they work?

Anyone any idea what the take up of avant browser is? - cant say I'd heard of it before this thread and cant see any reference to it in my site visitor logs

I just downloaded Avant and the TD "_blank" links are blocked. This is a decision by Avant. The blocked urls are shown in Tools -> Avant Bowser Options... -> Popup Blocker -> Black List.

I can't see many users using Avant. It is just a skinned version of IE so I would think most users looking for an alternative to IE would be better served by Firefox or Opera.

Because i want to use IE,
therefore Avant serves my purpose nicely

I use Avent and find it really useful, so I alerted TD about this about 6 months ago.

They suggested that all you could do was use the HTML choice of link and remove the "target-blank" bit. Which of course takes your customer off your site.

Dilemma eh?
