    Hi Guys,

The long-awaited Sony PSP console can now be pre-ordered at PC World! The pre order price is £179 (This is only an indication of the expected launch price. If the price goes down, PC World will only charge the lower price.) and the expected release date is 1st August 2005.

Check out the hot product at:
    http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/editorial/psp

With the new PSP, the world's favourite platform has now evolved into the slickest handheld gaming device ever. The PSP creates a personal environment in which to enjoy games, music and video at anytime, in anyplace and with unrivalled dynamism.

There is a range of creative to chose from - this product can really boost your sales!

Any questions, do let me know.

    Thanks

    Ricki

Played one of these the other day and have to say it was amazing compared to all other handhelds in the market.

Defo worth promoting when its available.

I have a new site built entirely around the Sony PSP and I was denied from the PC World programme about 3 weeks ago. There is nothing wrong with my site; (IMHO) as all the other major console retailers accepted my site application straight away.

LOL same here. Well, I bought the domain pspshop.co.uk in May 2003 when the PSP was first announced!! I guess that's another site I need to build. Have we really been waiting nearly 2 years for this gadget??

    Cheers!!

I know what you mean Kieron.

The Euro release date has been pushed back about 3 times since the PSP was first announced by Sony. The new release date of 1st September is expected to hold however.

Sony said that PSP sales grew 18 percent compared with the first quarter of 2004, to nearly 63 million units. In the US, Sony sold 600,000 units in the first week of its release.

Going by these sales figures Christmas 2005 could be a good one.

Me too! I now have Ridge Racer, Some Jap Golf game, Illuminus, and Wipeout.

Everyone of them is superb - a lot better than the DS!

Let me know what Fifa is like - I was waiting on the PES (or Winning 11, whatever it's called), as i've not been a big fan of Fifa the past few years.

I have indeed tried the build in browser as my home is wireless; it's good, but it's not particulary usefull - if i'm at home, i'll just use the laptop, rather than trying to "type" on the PSP! The IRC seems quite pointless, but it does show that with a few extra enhancements it could rival the Windows CE systems out there.

Apparently there is some "network tools" or something that is/has been released in Japan, that will have an email client and web browser (which will apparently work with Java and stylesheets!). That'll be a nice update, but will be a pain if you have to pay for it & if it runs of the UMD - would rather it was an update to the firmware.

Anyhow, I guess we are taking this off topic now, and the people at PC World may start to get angry!
