Coral Tracking Compensation
Hi all,
Coral has issued this statement to our Coral affiliates regarding the tracking issue experienced between 29th March 2005 and 14th April 2005:
*******
We would like to apologise to our valued affiliates regarding a recent tracking issue that we experienced on our TradeDoubler program. We acknowledge that for the period 29/03/05 to 14/04/05 that TradeDoubler were unable to process all affiliate leads from the Coral program. The reason for this problem occurred because we have recently launched an improved opening account process that required the re-positioning of the TradeDoubler tracking pixel. Unfortunately, the tracking pixel was placed on a refresh page that was displayed too briefly, which led to the TradeDoubler server not being able to process all leads. This situation was rectified as soon as we realised that there was a problem. We have subsequently reconciled all of the unattributable leads back to individual affiliates by matching up IP addresses from lead and click data. Payments for all of the correctly reconciled leads will be credited to TradeDoubler’s April statements. Once again I would like to apologise for the occurrence of this issue and hope that all our affiliates will continue to enjoy the benefits of the Coral program.
Clive Cottrell,
Online Marketing Manager, Coral
*******
I will award the untracked leads which we have now reconciled from Corals-TradeDoubler-click-data and TradeDoublers-transaction-table-click-data to your affiliate accounts tomorrow, meaning you will receive payment for this commission in June as you would have if the tracking had been working 100% correctly during April.
Kind regards,
Nick

Scott,
They can at different times, but you can only connect with 1 ip address at a time.
If you are getting a dhcp address from your isp then it is feasible that you could have more than one ip address during that period.
I'm with NTL and have had the same IP address for a year now

Hi all,
Coral compensation has now been awarded to your accounts.
You can see the amount awarded to your account under your "Account Balance" report. This amount will not be present in your "Overview" report but will be reflected in your overall "Account Balance" figure.
scott147/mattylamb, a very few proportion of IP addresses could not be reconciled and therefore TradeDoubler were unable to attribute these to an affiliates account.
These leads were put in to a pool and awarded, in conjunction with Coral, to publishers who had delivered most leads during this period. TradeDoubler and Coral felt this was the fairest way to award the left over leads.
Affiliates attributed with left over leads will not see a separate transaction in their "Account Balance", compensation has been awarded as one transaction.
Kind regards,
Nick

No Compensation
Hi
Just checked to see if I was compensated, and alas, no.
During April I had a massive 428 sales, and just 4 leads... so why haven't those missing leads been added? What’s more sickening is that Coral are still making money from those unpaid leads, as I've had nearly 200 more sales in May alone... not bad for a site who's main focus is far from gambling, and all we promoted Coral for was the bet offer on the Grand National.
In short I am extremely disgusted with this whole situation, and will be taking legal action if I find myself uncompensated for those untracked leads. I'm sure the courts will find it very strange that tracking was down during one of the years biggest betting events!

Hi Neko,
please can you check your last payment from TradeDoubler, go to:
>> Reports
>> Payment Report
>> Select the May Payment from the drop down
Coral leads, if reconciled and awarded to your account, should be visible on that invoice.
margaux.allfrey@tradedoubler.com is the Coral account manager, please can you drop Margaux a line with your TradeDoubler username and she will look in to this for you.
I have checked the TradeDoubler Support inbox, and we have not received an email from anyone regarding Coral. For a faster and more personal service, please always email Support or you can contact the account manager directly Account managers and program contact details.
Many thanks,
Nick

Not a single penny of compensation!!
I will contact Margaux, and see what can be done, as this is really appalling.

Hi Neko,
based on your 423 sales, I believe I have located your account and you were awarded 15 untracked leads on the 29/04/05, which Coral and TradeDoubler successfully reconciled through IP data.
Margaux will confirm this for you.
Many thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick
That's not my account, I had 428 sales in April. I have emailed Margaux, and hope to resolve this quickly, and without legal action.

Hi all
Last month I had 60 or so coral sales, most @ 5p or less?
So I wonder if there was . missing ?
This month just one sale so far @ £10.00.. which given that yahoo don't like my coral page as much as they did last month makes sense, but @ 5p a sale for a bookie best drop them big time.
Same same this month except this month seems to be expedia, sometimes less than 5p?..Wow a holiday for less than a quid, or a flight across the road.
Jamster wl now converting @ .7%, jeez
BTW the td new site sucks;
End of newbie rant

I had a word with Nick ( TD) who understandably is just as frustrated with the problems Coral have caused - god knows how many records had to have been processed to ensure that leads were awarded to the right people.
Even though I have been awarded for 18 leads in all, I really don't see how 18 people could place what are now 600 or more bets in three weeks, especially given that my audience is far from gambling specific. I really get the feeling that Coral didn't make enough money is bets to cover their outgoings in leads alone. This isn't my problem, but in the end I have paid for sending lots of visitors, and I'm not getting much compensation for doing so!
I do feel sorry for TD, they have had a hard time with this as well, and I do trust them. Ah well, since Coral have increased their commission to £10 per lead (double what it was), I am going to take them for all I can, and promote their free £10 bet offer using Big Brother as a promotional basis. Fingers crossed I will make back all I lost!
