I have had several sales like this including a hotel sale for £1.15 ( which was 6p commission yippee) over the last couple of weeks.
I did report it to TD earlier on today so hopefully they might get it sorted.
Just been speaking to a couple of other affiliates who promote Expedia on TD.
It seem that sales values are going through at a fraction of actual values.
Have a look at your event breakdown reports for April and May.
I don't get many Expedia sales so it's difficult for me to be certain.
Is anyone else seeing holidays going through at silly values like £4?
Not pretty!![]()

Does nobody else promote Expedia on TD or is noone else getting a problem.
It looks to me like a huge problem which will have cost TD and affiliates thousands in commission.
Can't believe the silence on this one.
Just me then I assume? Um?
Has anyone got any problems on CJ with Expedia?
If not I'm switching to CJ tonight.
Total silence from TD!
Hi angelabx,
if you have emailed anyone at TradeDoubler directly it's been *very busy* here the last 2 days, especially myself and Andy collating all your feedback on the new site and any teething problems experienced!
Initially it appears on the 27/04/05 Expedia began to report back the sales value with the decimal point one place to the left, effectively reducing the commission awarded to your account by a factor of 10.
No need to change links ;-) it's a staraightforward compensation process and an even easier fix on the Expedia site. We will have it up and running in no time.
I will ask the Expedia Account Manager, kelvin.mangaroo@tradedoubler.com, to contact you (please send me an email with your contact details) and other Expedia affiliates.
Kind regards,
Nick
nick.roveta@tradedoubler.com
Thanks Nick
Good to hear that you're aware of the problem although it would have been nice to have been told rather than suddenly finding out.
My gut feel is that the error is more than just one decimal place though.
Multiplying a 90p hotel sale by 10 only gives £9. Surely £90 is more realistic.
Our average sales value indicates more than just a one decimal place error. More like two.
Nick, I am having the same problem. In my estimation there is a drop in the sales value of at least 20 times from previous months.

Hi angelabx,
yes, you are correct, having just spoken with the Expedia team at TradeDoubler they confirmed the sales value is reported back with the decimal place 2 places to the left, not one d.p. as I thought yesterday evening, therefore reducing the commission awarded on your sales by a factor of 100.
So if you have made a sale for Hotel Bookings at 6%, and generated £0.15 commission, you will be awarded £15.00 in due course. If you run your "program overview" report from the 27/04/05 and tick the "sales value" tick box you can see how much compensation commission you will be awarded.
The Expedia team are already on the case but if you have any queries in the meantime please contact either:
joey.vandenworm@tradedoubler.com
or
kelvin.mangaroo@tradedoubler.com
Many thanks,
Nick
Thanks Nick.
As it's being sorted I won't hassle any further.
I'm sure Joey and Kelvin don't need any more emails.
Look forward to seeing it all return to normal and the compensation come in.
I'll pass the word around.
Cheers.
Nick, The sales value is also wrong, actually it is the source of the error. The commision is being correctly calculated based on a wrong sales value. I ran the numbers from previous months, the error can't be 100 times the reported commission (eventhough I wish it were)

Last I heard on the grapevine is that it should have been fixed a couple of days ago.
Since then NO SALES for me!
Has anyone had any sales today or yesterday for Expedia on TD?
If so were they at correct vlaues or silly little ones?
I have no Expedia UK TD sales/commissions for the past two days. In their attempt to fix the reporting, they screwed it up completely, I suppose.
Looks like a move over to CJ is called for!
Hi everyone,
although I am not 100% on this I understand from the Expedia Account Manager all tracking relationships have been affected, not just TradeDoubler.
Please can you email joey.vandenworm@tradedoubler.com who has more information on this tracking issue than I am able to post here.
Many thanks,
Nick
angelabx wrote:I'd rather put my eggs in TD's basket. The personal approach that TD uses with its affiliates is worth hanging in there for. On the other hand, CJ AMs keep changing. We always get paid at the end with TD. I agree that ultimately the affiliate's patience is not without limits, but I'd cut TD some slack on this one.Looks like a move over to CJ is called for!
Nick, is there an ETA as to when this will be fixed?
