  New Tradedoubler Layout

Hi All

Woke up early this morning to count my pennies and found TD have finished their new layout.

Ive had a long play and really like it. However, the link matrix will be unavailable until the 24th.

Like a lot of new things it takes some getting used too. My only complaint would be the light grey button links. If you are a little short sighted or colour blind you have had it.

Hi,

I have been looking at it, but I don't like it as much as the last version.

I don't think there was anything really wrong with the last version.

Maybe I'll change my mind in the next few weeks after some use.

Daniel

PS Spell check - "Grahphical element name" on the program/graphics list

  Re

I don't like it

Too "long winded" to find a quick recently updated advert to add,

Preferred the older version.

Still if this improves the "speed" of TD then we'll just have to get used to it!

That's doubtful.

I'm a grumpy old man and any new tricks I learn need to directed towards better ways of making money, which means enhanced functionality not just more buttons to push - which I rarely used anyway.

If anyone can explain how the new interface helps us make more money and I'll cheer up - a bit... maybe, naaah, that's also doubtful :-)

Thumbs down Link graphics don't display?

Is it right that when you list the links available for a program the actual graphics no longer display & you have click on each one to see what they look like - or am I missing something?

As the link matrix is currently missing, does that mean that the deep linking code isnt available e.g. for Opodo hotels?

Whats the point of just moving some links around if its not going to be an improvement? It doesnt look like a designer did this...

I like the old design cause Im used to it...

I like the layout but have found it very difficult to get links.

I totally agree, I spent 15 minutes this morning trying find a text link for american express, every time I clicked something, the system would then tell me I had not applied. ???? Then realised the Site Name, kept changing to the default, Not very good at all. I dont like this one yet

If it aint broke, dont fix it, and even worse, dont make it worse.

5/10

  Thumbs down

Not impressed with new layout at all yet. I rely heavily on use of the Link Matrix and it's not there! Also, when promoting a banner I like to see it amongst others, without having to search through text, click on individual items just to see what I will get - which invariably now won't work about 50% of the time.

However, my biggest gripe (apart from lack of link matrix) is that as I have more than one site, I am finding it impossible to get certain links. By way of example, site A is only signed up to a few merchants. Site B is signed up to loads. Site A does not have Dell, whereas site B does. BUT, when I go into the Dell program and want to create a deep link for site B, it defaults back to site A and won't let me create the link.

Come on TD, get it sorted! Despite many adverse comments against TD in the past on these forums, they are my main source of income. To launch their new site with so many bugs is going to kill my sites off. Why not still allow access to the old site whilst all the bugs are ironed out?

The site as a whole looks okay, although I don't see what was wrong with the old one. I am not adverse to new ideas, but I am adverse to launching things full of holes and bugs. I reckon Microsoft have a lot to answer for. They got away with it, so everyone else seems to think it's okay to do the same these days. Proper programming and dry-running before launch and bug-testing would avert all this. More speed, less haste!!!!!
