Post Interface Update - Link Matrix and Banner Preview

Good morning all,

TradeDoubler released an update to the Publisher interface this morning.

Link Matrix
  • The Link Matrix can now be located on the right hand side of the interface once you have logged in.
  • Once in the Link Matrix you will find accessing program pages faster by clicking on the "program name", than using the search form. The Link Matrix can now be used in the same way as "Choose All Programs".
  • From the program page you can access the banners and links for the program by clicking on the "links" button at the top of the page.

Graphical Elements
  • All banners are displayed without having to click on the graphical element name to preview.
  • If you expand the "advanced search" option, you can select the "Expand Graphics" or "Hide Graphics" radio button depending on how you want to see the advertisers creative.
  • You should use the "advanced search" functionality to drill down for specific banner dimensions e.g. 468x60.
  • At the end of the row, for each graphical element, you will see the familiar "show code" link. Don't forget to select the correct site name from the drop down menu in the "show code" pop up window.
  • Keeping the siteID variable persistent around the various forms in the interface is in the pipeline.

I am sure you will find the latest updates useful and helpful - given how much fucntionality you can access directly by starting out from the Link Matrix I am confident a lot of the issues you experienced in the last week have been addressed.

Your feedback, as always, is greatly received - please send feedback to site.feedback.uk@tradedoubler.com where someone in the Publisher Services will get back to you shortly.

Many thanks,

Nick

Looks way better.......one thing i've noticed is that on some of the HTML banners/content they don;t show on the page and they don;t show when you click the banner name either.

The Figleaves swimwear/womenswear/menswear individual html content bits are an example. You have to stick the code in a browser to be able to see them.

Also, it was much better to have latest, images, html, flash links so you cab get to them in one click. Seems a bit more complicated to get there now.

Nick - great improvement - well done

Only problem I have is that one of my sites has totally disappeared from my registered sites list - but I'll try and catch you on MSN about that one

Great improvement and far easier to get around. Glad it's sorted out, I can now get back to updating links and stuff.

Thanks

Just some quick points...
On the link matrix, once you get past Equitalk, the program name links go to the old layout.

If you click for a text link for a site/merchant you're not applied to you get a message like 'If you have not applied to Eurostar from this site (ID: 123456), ensure you join first - [Join program]'. As the site id isn't passed on it would be more useful if it told me the site name rather than the site id - this goes for the search form which also shows the merchant id which I don't think means much to many people.

On the graphical elements list, an option to restrict the size to 120x would be useful as with 120's, for me at least, height isn't that critical and so it would be quicker to see them all together rather than having to check 10 different 120x? sizes and remember on which one I saw the one I liked.

When the creative is flash the menu that pops up when you click on the merchant name shows up behind it - not that I think any of the options on there are needed at that point.

If you get to a list of graphical elements and realise you have the wrong site selected and change it, the selected category is lost and you end up with all elements. From a list of graphical elements its hard to get back to the merchant graphical element categories list.

I've also noticed some of my sites are no longer being shown. Links still go thru so I don't think they have been deleted, they have just vanished from the interface.

Other than that I think it is getting better.

Hi everyone,

thank you for the feedback so far.

  • The Link Matrix issue has now been fixed and now when you click through you will not redirect to the old interface.

  • Defining a specific dimension for "graphical element" search results is a good idea and I have added this as a feature request.

  • misscarolann, I am not able to replicate the Figleaves content unit issue so have sent you an email asking for more details.

  • The JavaScript pop up triggered when you click on the advertiser name in the graphical element search results offers no additional functionality at that stage, as you say, and I have reported this as a bug.

  • Do you have any more info on sites vanishing from the interface - is this only through the link matrix or persistent throughout the site?

Many thanks,

Nick

Site names have disappeared here too (5 of them, worrying!). Disappeared from selector box on home page, on site info pages and subscription pages too, but are present on 'your programs' page (with accepted programs)

It's through out the site, if you go to Settings -> Site Info they don't show there.

If I go through to the details of one of the sites that is still there and change the affiliateID in the url to one of the missing sites then it reports that its an invalid affiliate id. If its any use, one site thats missing is 1090870.

All the sites now seem to be back - but the link to the Link Matrix has now disappeared again from the right hand side of the homepage.

Tradedoubler dost giveth, and Tradedoubler dost taketh away
