there is a link on there to www.crazyfrog.co.uk, which I believe belongs to Leeky so I am sure he's getting lots of free traffic too
Someone told me today that the BBC had put a news story up about the Crazy Frog single and it linked back to my Crazy Frog site at www.thecrazyfrog.net.
Here's the BBC link....
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4576119.stm
Anyway I checked the BBC and although there is a link that goes to a Crazy Frog affiliate site, it isn't mine.
So I checked through my logs and sure enough there was a couple of thousand referrers from the BBC article to my site earlier today. So the strange thing is that my site was linked for an hour or two today but then the links were changed. Very strange. Anyway, I'm not complaining, the free traffic was nice while it lasted!
Cheers!

This better not be a post where everyone has a Crazy Frog site.. shame on you guys for promoting (and making money) from this most annoying of ring tones... <crying in to my desk.. I wish I made one> LOLGood luck to you all.
By the way BBC update links to more relevant ones as they find them, I seen articles that have links change during the day, I guess as the page gets more hits they have a staffer look double check they have the best links, who knows. But certainly a bonus to get a BBC link without the need to kill someone to get it![]()
The BBC has never liked me, from last minute cancelled interviews to the sports editors not returning a phone call on my most memorable day ever. Ah well, I was always to pished to comment anyway. One day.
hi chaps, www.crazyfrog.co.uk is our site. leeky, you can always make an offer for the domain![]()
Arrr!!!.. so your the one im always racing to get the best domain names![]()
You wouldnt have got that most recent frog domain you regged if my girlfriend hadnt had buggered off with my credit card![]()
I went to register it and it was available, but didnt have my card, my girlfriend came back 2 hours later and you had swiped it!!!
Well the BBC lost out, that's all I can say.![]()
One radio show (what a couple of days that was) and one newspaper for this site that I know of so far, today's Scotsman. http://news.scotsman.com/features.cfm?id=573722005
Right at the bottom.

well done lee!
Hi,
If the BBC are that smart why is the related site not Jamster.co.uk !
And, Kieron, I found your Crazy Frog site yesterday from another
site that must, by implication, be your site too. And if it is, *I am
very impressed*.
Just shows me what I have to do to get nearer to being
one of the *Big Boys*.![]()

From experience, the BBC editors do a search on Google and pick the top ranking site.
There was a Tartan Army story a few months ago and the top link was a website that hasn't been updated since 2001It was the guys personal home page, so no custom domain name or anything.
As it was the first TA website everyone has always linked to it.
