    Dear Jamster Affiliate

TradeDoubler would like to announce that they will be paying all Jamster affiliates on the Jamster UK program a bonus to the value of 10% extra commission on commissions earned from the 1st June to the 7th June (7 days activity).

As an example if an affiliate makes 240 sales at £2.75 commission per sale between 1st June and 7th June he earns £660.00 commission. TradeDoubler will pay him an extra £66 bonus for these sales.

The bonus amounts will be calculated on the 8th June and added to your account. These commissions will be paid out to affiliates from the TradeDoubler account in the June (Monday 20th June) affiliate payment run.

These bonuses are a goodwill payment by TradeDoubler to apologise for the errors TradeDoubler made in calculating your March compensation. TradeDoubler recognise Jamster as a leading affiliate program and wish to support Jamster affiliates for any inconvenience caused by TradeDoubler.

I am sure you are already aware that the Crazy Frog's Axel F beat Coldplay's comeback single to the number one spot in the UK chart. The Crazy Frog mania continues and we wish you the best in making the most of this exciting time.

If you have any questions about Jamster or these bonuses please contact:margaux.allfrey@tradedoubler.com

    Best Wishes

That is excellent news - good to see TD making a positive response.

As Lee has pointed out we would like to know what is happening with the Jamster invoices which appear to have been set for payment after the June payment run.

Also, with my cynical hat on (hang on - dusting off the cobwebs ) - should Jamster tracking fail during the period 1st June to the 7th June - I assume the bonus will be calculated on the figures after any compensation for the tracking down time has been taken into account...

Oh - and if you could calculate the bonus using the same calculator you used to calculate the original March Jamster compensation (i.e. before the adjustments) that would be appreciated
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.

kbudden, TD seem to treat Jamster as a war zone at the moment, post at the last minute and get out. It's the first day of June tomorrow, I hope it won't be another 19 days before we get an answer just by looking at the balance and not seeing any jamster monies paid whatsoever.

As someone who contributed to that thread and who shares the concerns raised there, I can't see the relevance to this one.

I for one applaud TD for holding their hands up on this and making a handsome gesture to atone for their (not Jamster's) error.

Let's not be curmudgeonly and acknowledge fairness when we see it.

PS. No offence Lee, the other thread is still valid but I don't see that it relates to this one.

I am half tempted to switch my links away from Zanox and over to TD for the week just to take advantage of this. Trouble is I am not sure it is worth it for the stress involved of watching stats on TD that are hours behind so you cant tell what the hell is going on.

Well I'll send another e-mail to TD and try and get the right answer again. I must simply have my priorities wrong, and a bonus announcement is more important than the previous topic.

Different priorities, yes. Food on the table vs future food on the table.

This line from the OP makes it clear what this thread is about:

These bonuses are a goodwill payment by TradeDoubler to apologise for the errors TradeDoubler made in calculating your March compensation
    .

If I might paraphrase it, TD seems to me to be saying 'we boobed with a faulty calculator. We'd like to say sorry for our boob'.

None of that has anything to do with prepayment or with Jamster or anything else (except that the error occurred when TD calculated a payment to Jamster affiliates).

Sure, the other issues are still live and important (and should be pursued) - but can't we give credit for a fair and honourable response to this particular boob?

Go on Lee, you haven't yet acknowledged that TD have taken responsibility for their error, said sorry, and offered you compensation over and above that due from Jamster for the original issue.

Actually, of 79 viewers, only 3 people so far have acknowledged the gesture - maybe that says something about us all as affiliates.

km8, if you're a mod then feel free to delete my posts or move it to where it may be judged to be relevent. If you're a rocker, click the link at the bottom of my post and report it to a mod to be moved or deleted. I'm not about to debate this although it seems I already am.

I've got compensation coming out of my ears and quite frankly, truth beknown, compensation for a muck up on compensation seems a little silly, but as it has transformed into a bonus for performance during the first quarter of June, I'll welcome it and certainly try harder to increase sales over the next 24 hours, though the chance is slim.

But to be honest I'd rather give up any bonus I get next week to TD, to ensure I get an answer and paid in June. Unlike government, cash for questions isn't illegal.

For the record, no, I'm not a mod - just a fair-minded affiliate.

And you're right, let's stop debating it - all that needs to be said has been said.
