Merchants slow to approve

I have a lot of applications in with merchants at TD that are still pending approval after a week or so. Maybe I am cynica,l but would the approvals come quicker if I started promoting the merchants anyway and generating sales?

I don't think that makes a difference and if they turn your site down, you will lose out as they will not pay for any sales you have made.

I'm still waiting for approval from 7 companies which I applied to on the 13/05/05.

Mind you could be my site displays a - this site is being built page. :P

But they haven't put it on hold - just left as under consideration.

A few have me on hold and that is fine as I know where I stand, it's the ones that just let approvals backlog that drive me nuts.
