LOL James There's more coming:
Video Island "recently announced an additional £5m in financing, to bring the total amount raised to £15m from Europe's leading blue-chip venture firms, Index Ventures, Benchmark Capital, EVP and Cazenove Private Equity"
"Pioneers of the white label strategy, rents 700,000 films a month - the equivalent of 150 video stores - through both its consumer brand ScreenSelect.co.uk, distributed by the likes of Boots, Comet, Loot, Dixons, Real Networks, Radio Times, Virgin Megastores and Currys, as well as operating fully integrated DVD subscription services for Tesco, MSN, easyCinema and ITV, its white label partners."

Zaq, the only company doing UK DVD rentals that offers residual income, as far as I know, is dvdtome.net. You wrote about 'em in this thread.
I haven't tried dvdtome.net, as it seems like a fledgling company and see some weaknesses in their service.
As the quotation above states, Video Island, parent company of ScreenSelect, do offer a white-label service which *may* allow you to earn residual, but I think you have to be a very big boy for that. Wish I was as big as Tesco and MSN in terms of traffic, but I 'aint. Ah well, maybe I'm bigger than them in other ways ;-)
I'll email ScreenSelect about white-label and ask how much traffic we need to have: will post here if they respond.

I sent several emails to various addresses at ScreenSelect and Video Island including Brenna Abel. I never just write to one email address at such large companies as it is unlikely it will be responded to.
Good luck with dvdtome. I'm going to wait until they grow bigger before promoting them. Not willing to risk my dough on a company with an Alexa ranking of 682,000.
Also, I'm sure the implicit game plan of a lot of these smaller DVD rental companies is to be bought out by the big boys. If they are bought up by the likes of Video Island, I'm sure they'll scrap the residual element
