Hi there and welcome.

I've been pestering you people for ages on an issue and I wonder if you can please get me a definitive answer?

Do you only pay on sales for your UK site? What about people clicking through from an affiliate to you and then the customer goes to one of your sister sites in say Malaysia or the USA etc etc?

The reason I ask is I get lots of traffic from the Far East for zero conversion.

John

Sales on other La Senza websites

Hello John,

Unfortunately La Senza.co.uk and La Senza.com are managed separately. If you are an affiliate of the UK website, you will get paid for sales on the UK website. You might want to contact directly La Senza.com for the sales made on their website (onlinemanager@lasenza.com). This contact is for the American as well as the Canadian websites.

Cheers.

Corinne

Oh well. Thanks for the downside Corinne.

I'm currently regrading my shopping portal and I have two merchants which already cover US/Canada plus Asia Pacific and offer similar products to yourselves. I think the problem is that unfortunately you guys operate a franchise system with no setup for cross migration. After all you as a company account for sales generated between sites and this is reflected in your accounts.

It's a shame though that nobody at La Senza has implemented the same for affiliates. Many of us are not limited just to one geographic area. La Senza.com does not advertise an affiliate scheme. It isn't that difficult to set up cross migration, all that a merchant has to do is supply a parent and child id(s) for affiliates in order to cover other geographic areas. That's why I list my travel site as my webpage for viewing. It will eventually operate in nearly 190 countries and 64 currencies and when the affiliate scheme goes live at the end of 2005/beginning of 2006 then all affiliates will have this cross migration available despite different websites. All afiliates will have interlinked id's enabling tracking and validation.

Hello John,

You are right, we are a franchise company. We did decide to run an affiliate program whereas the lasenza.com chose not to do so. Unfortunately this decision does not unable us to go a step further so far.

Cheers.

Thanks for the update Corinne.

What I'll do is discontinue the affiliation on my main shopping portal in the next few days as that generates a lot of overseas traffic (obviously not just towards you people); particularly Malaysia and Indonesia, then re-apply for just the .co.uk of my portal. With TD I have to apply to merchants for every website individually unlike with some other networks.

John

No prob.

This looks like the best solution for now. I will make sure to keep the affiliates posted if anything changes.
