Newbie needs advice

Hi, I'm totally new to affiliate marketing, and joined up with Tradedoubler a couple of days ago.

One program accepted my website almost immediately, so I have put them on a few pages. Only thing is, when someone clicks the banner, it doesn't open in a new window, and consequently takes the surfer away from my site. Is there a way that I can make a new window open, and if so, please can someone tell me how?

I have joined a couple of other affiliate programs, and they all open a new window.

On tradedoubler links if you click on Custom and uncheck cache prevention.

The links will then have a tag target="_blank" which will open links in a new window.

Thank you tezar. I didn't think to uncheck the cache prevention, but it does seem to work. I also discovered that the merchant I was trying to link to had both javascript and html banners, so it was good to go back and have another go.
