We would like to inform you that from the 1st of August, RBS
Credit Cards will be changing their general commission level to £5 per
    accepted credit card.

Don't forget, RBS Credit Cards have recently improved their offer
to 0% on purchases and balance transfers for 9 months, with a typical
16.9% APR (variable) and no annual fee. This has resulted in a
dramatic increase in accepted credit cards. So, selling a RBS
credit card has never been easier!

Please contact stevie.angel@tradedoubler.com with any queries.

    Kind regards,
    Stevie
What a joke. £5 for an accepted credit card? Get real! I can't believe that Tradedoubler don't step in at this point and refuse to accept such a low level. This program is destined to fail. Who is seriously going to promote RBS when there are other credit cards paying £30+ commission. Needless to say I have dropped them from my site. I hope others follow.

This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about in my post in the affiliate lounge. Far too many merchants are coming on board with lower than average CPA's at the moment. Time to vote with your feet I think.

I agree, £5.00 per accepted card is insulting. Just watch and wait for the NatWest credit card to follow suit.....................

    Hi Steve,

I understand your frustration with the lowered commission for this program.

In June and July RBS affiliates generated an EPC of around £2. We believe that with this commission you will maintain an EPC of around £1 which, through speaking with specialist credit card affiliates, we believe this to be a competitive EPC despite the lower CPA.

Whilst TradeDoubler consultants advise clients on commissions the decision remains with our client. In some instances issues beyond the control of TradeDoubler and our clients can have an impact on the commercials for the program.

Your feedback is, as always, one of the most important aspects for taking the program forward.

    Kind regards,

    Lee

I think we all need to email Stevie so they know our views.

I agree Natwest will soon follow.

I too am removing my RBS links.

We'll be removing Natwest at the same time.

Our EPC on this one is currently about 35p!

Is anyone really doing £2 a click??

Ours would be dropping to 17p with the reduction to £5 and thats from a dedicated credit card site! Not good.

£2 per click will just about get you into the ball game in terms of credit cards. At £1 it would be a joke and at 35p it would be removed quick smart. No loss, plenty of good programs to promote.

" through speaking with specialist credit card affiliates, we believe this to be a competitive EPC despite the lower CPC"

Think you guys need to reassess your beliefs, just who were these specialist credit card affiliates ? were they based in the USA or china ??? £5 cpa /£1 EPC is just not good enough to warrant webspace in the UK credit card market.

Compared to the staggering amount of money thrown at offline marketing and the resulting CPA via those routes, £5 per accepted is more insulting than asking us to push it for free !!

Anyone know what's going on with RBS and Natwest as they still seem to be paying me 10.00 a card? What's happening with everyone else? I wonder if they have changed their mind about this one. I must say I removed them to a not so great spot on my site when it went to 5.00 per sale.

    Don't stand for it then

Leave the copy up.. do them justice with the review and stick a link up for marbles, egg or morgan stanley instead pointing out any better features.

If they lower it and everyone laps it up and another merchant does the same then it's not long before it's nickel and dime time again.. yet offline they are quite chirpy to send 100k leaflets out for 500 or so new card holders..

Offline CPA's for credit cards are rumoured to be around £80+ a pop on average across big and small card companies.. so £5 plus network overide doesn't seem particularly respectful

Ours are coming down once we get chance.

I'm considering redirecting the RBS links to Espotting credit card results where RBS advertises. Ironically we'd earn more per click that way!!

Yes both cards have dropped to a fiver each now. A shame as both cards were doing well on my site.
