Tracking Problems

We done 2 real time insurance sign ups for Budget Van Insurance on the 22/09/2005 and a Direct Line Car Insurance on the 23/09/2005 using the tracking links provided by T D because for some time now we have been lead to believe that tracking at Trade Doubler has not been functioning properly for at least the 2 fore mentioned merchants.

The first sign up for Budget Van Insurance which was done by a friend, went through without a problem, we even phoned up Budget on the day to confirm that the sale went through but in our T D sale/leads stats the payment for that particular transaction has not shown up yet.

The second sign up was done by me; I renewed my car insurance through Direct Line using our tracking link but yet again payment for that transaction has not shown up in our T D stats either.

Has anybody else experience the same situation?

Yes. Same problem here. We made a test purchase of Car insurance at
Direct Line last week. The click tracked, but the sale has never registered.

We've informed tradedoubler, but we're been waiting for three months so far for the results of a previous "investigation" into a failed Opodo commision.

A very useful addition to this forum would be the introduction of a topic dedicated to "test purchases". They have these on similar boards in the States. People post successes and failures of recent test purchases. The thing about test purchases is that they are the only sure-fire way of showing up problems.

Any way...sorry for the ramble. The answer is Yes. A guaranteed sale with Direct Line failed to track last week.

A couple of weeks ago, lloyds TSB didn't track.

I have had many sales of my own not track. I once had a legitimate sale of mine deleted! no reason given.

We've recently had two sales on Direct Line not registered. One by my wife and one by my nephew.
We use TD's link matrix for our links and have found that for some merchants clicks & UV's are registered but others only register UV's.

I have had a few of my own sales with Carphonewarehouse that didnot track.

I would be interesting in knowing in general, if commission was paid to other parties. It would help track spyware scumware etc if the network and merchants traced it back?

quite a while ago I had purchased stuff through my our links to test and they suggested that when you have purchased whatever and when you have got to the confirmation page of the sale to view source of that page and print it out as it should give all tradedoubler details etc. I found on a few cases even though I went through my own link then the sales went to some other site thanks to spyware on my PC and all that
