With all the wonderful affiliate technology that's around is it possible for reports to exist that tells an affiliate

    1. the time/date a sale was removed
    2. The reason why the sale was removed

I've seen sales be removed the last few days from the likes of Figleaves, Currys, John Lewis, Dixons, 24-7 Electrical and Misco and whilst I could guess as to why they've been deleted it'd be nice to know ... and also see if there's a pattern for deletion.

As is the current method is non-transparent and incredibly annoying.

Seems strange to have a "reasons" box but nowt in it!

I totally agree, the current "Reason" colunm is like a red rag to a bull as it is never used - or at least in my experience it never has been. Similary I have had cause to email TD as to a reason and have either been ignored or fobbed off with a stock reply.

However, to remain positive this is a good request and one that would be valuable

I'll put my name to that request too.

Seems like a worthwhile improvement - just like the "time elapsed since stats update" feature we've all been asking for for years.

That's two things for my Christmas wishlist Andy.

there is not a "reason" option for the merchant when they delete a sale, you don't have to specify anything...

The point is though, that some of us would find it helpful to have this function. Further to that, at the affiliate side of the interface, there is a column labelled "reason", which in my experience is never completed.

If you are saying that Merchant side there is no option, that is fair enough - and a very good point, however there needs to be some correlation, and so far the opinion is running in favour of a completed "reason" section.

    Over to TD

The only time I have seen the reason boxed filled in is when I had a few Jamster leads Removed and in the reason box it sayed "Unfulfilled payment".

It is good to know the reason, it also makes you feel better knowing why your money is disappearing out your account

Sure you don't have to - and most merchants don't.

But if Jamster can do it ... ?

I took some big hits on the removals front this week

I dont think it would be to difficult to make the reason box mandatory using a script at least we could look for trends etc

I'd like this feature implemented too. It's very disconcerting when the balance drops and I see it as a matter of common courtesy for merchants to explain any reversals. TD could make it easy for merchants with a drop down box of common reasons sales are declined.

    Yes

It would be also valid to see part-reversals of orders?

I never see this, just the whole order deleted. In some instances, where credit card fraud is not concerned, 1 of the basket items would be reversed, not the whole basket, everytime!

It has to be the one thing TD really needs - a useful, quick and easy way of finding out why the balance has dropped and identifying why.

    Hi all,

we have requested a change to the "Event Breakdown Report" so you will be able to run reports against the date the transaction was removed, not, against the date the transaction was made which is the current format.

We know this modification will help all our publishers identify what, and when, removed transactions occurred on your account. This request was submitted a few months ago and has been included in our "Reporting" project which will be released shortly. I would like to add we are not making wholesale changes to reporting, but adding new features and improving the performance of the current reports.

With regards to the "Reason" field in the "Event Breakdown Report" this is only populated for advertisers who are on "Pre Payment", hence why you will see this for Jamster transactions in your reports - I am checking with our Development team why we cannot offer this field for all advertisers.

You can see which of our advertisers are on Pre Payment by logging in to your TradeDoubler account, then, in the center of the screen, click on "Advanced Search" and change the "Pre Payment" drop down to "Yes" then click on the "Search" button.

As always, thank you for your constructive feedback.

    Kind regards,

    Nick
