had you clicked the link before within the cookie period?
im just guessing but if say you clicked it yesterday id have thought it would count as a click, bot not unique as you already have the cookie set
Maybe a simple answer to this one, but if the overview report is showing 1 click for a merchant, but no unique visitors, are my links wrong ?
I was doing the one doing the clicking, and was sent to the merchant site, but no UV stats are showing.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
Ian

Excellent point. Thanks!
I'll jump on another clean pc and re-run the test.
On a related issue........ if I clicked on a link, and the merchant's website is displayed, would I be right in assuming that TD will have done some processing at their end of things and logged the 'click' and/or UV in their database?
I'm 99.999999% sure this is right, just trying to fathom the 120 missing click transactions from the overview report!!! The test was run at 12:30 this afternoon and stats have caught up well past that time now.
I am willing to concede my redirects could be the issue, but if the merchant site is displayed, everything must be ok (apart from the tracking)
yeah if you click on your link and end up at the merchant site you have been through that particular network, so they should have logged it, set a cookie and have the tracking in place to track a sale/lead.
got to remember with clicks though not all networks filter out bot clicks as especially if your using redirects bots have a tendancy to follow these and register them as clicks. POR are good where they actually distinguish between the two, you can see which clicks are bots and which are real people.
A good sign of this is once you launch a new site and have a few incoming links most networks will show your clicks as being quite high initially, these wont be people as your site wont have postions i nthe SERPS yet it will be bots coming in from other sites.
