I’m pleased to announce that Blue Barracuda have now taken over the management of the Laithwaites affiliate program which is currently live and running on the TradeDoubler and Commission Junction networks. Over the past month we have been auditing the program, getting to know the state of play, who’s doing what and where and reviewing the overall creative performance. Now that the general audit period is over I would like to draw in some feedback from all those interested in working with the program or wish to step up their current volume (or maybe just work with Blue Barracuda ). I’d also like to take this opportunity to announce some changes and improvements to the program along the way. I’m particularly keen to work this into the festive season as the wine sales around Christmas and New Year sky rocket as I’m sure you can imagine!

A new offer we’ve been working on with Laithwaites is a special mixed case of wine for Christmas which will only be made available for affiliates to promote. This is due to go live next week. The offer has a strong leading message and I’m sure it’ll be a success for Christmas. (see image attached.)

Datafeeds:
There is currently a datafeed available which provides some great additional content such as full descriptions and classifications of wines, regions etc

PPC restrictions:
Please be aware that this program does have fairly strict PPC restrictions already in place. For some time these have not been actively enforced. From today onwards they will be.

Commissions:
Possibly the only negative change we have been asked to bring to the program is the way commission are calculated. At the moment commissions are paid out on vat and delivery charges, in order to for this program to continue to play a long term goal in the Laithwaites online strategy commissions will be calculated on ex vat and delivery. This change has not been made yet and will probably emerge sometime in the new year so please make the most of it.
