Lloyds Insurance iInsurance ?

Commission rates for Lloyds look competitive - for 1 (or 2?) of their productsi'm a bit confused as the commsion rates displayed on logging in toTD are as below

Insurance Car Insurance GBP 100.00

iInsurance Car Insurance GBP 6.00

What is "iInsurance" and what is "Insurance Car Insurance "? are they offering 2 different products ? or is iInsurnace just a lead ? when i click the car insurance banner it takes me to a form which has no mention of iInsurance or insurance car insurance

The iInsurance product is an 'impression' based lead.

ie If you have a banner on you page and somebody 'looks' at it then just types in the address in the address bar or perhaps types it in at any time in the cookie period, provided that another affiliates link has not been pressed in between you will get the 'lead' and £6.

This only works if the viewer accepts third party cookies in their browser settings - I think IE6 is set to block them on its install or upgrade, but I could be wrong.

for taking time out to explain , that seems a pretty good affiliate deal then - better than i thought - time to change the content on my page as it's confusing my visitors more than me !

Hi Barry,

thank you for clarifying the impression lead - spot on answer ;-)

One item I will add, as it's important, is if a click event has occurred before, or after an impression event for Lloyds, then the click and it's higher CPA will always supercede the impression and it's lower CPA.

This ensures you will not receive less commission for a click you generated if the last event to occur was an impression before the actual sale took place.
