  JackpotJoy Month End?

I know it's Christmas but have they posted yet? I'm only asking as they don't do the nought value anymore.

Cheers, nothing here yet. I'll give it until the end of the day before signing off 2005. Still double 2004 on TD, so can't be bad. At least double again in 2006 would do very nice.

And to make it three, could you please bring back the 0.00 value if we earn bugger all (stop giving cashback see if we earn more ) and stick two fingers up at those moaning about 0.00 appearing. Surely it not being present is causing more hassle?

Hi Lee,

haha

the JPJ batch has not hit your reports yet, and yes it's normally in on the 26th. However, the revenue share batch transactions actually arrives on the closest Monday to the end of the month, which is today.

Kind regards,

Nick

  JPJ report update...

Just so that you all know the facts, we haven't forgotten about you...

As a result of integrating with Firepay this month, we have experienced some minor delays with running the Affiliate Batch file report. As you have rightly observed, we try and upload the report as close to the 26th as feasibly possible. It usually falls on a Monday when the 26th is either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

I have been told by our top techies that the report should be processed before the end of the day

BTW: Firepay is a very good thing for any US player that you send our way. As you may or may not know, a few years ago, the US Department of Justice forced the major banks who process US credit/debit cards into rejecting any "gaming" transactions.

Firepay is an online e-wallet that provides a convenient loop hole for US citizens who fancy a flutter. We have also integrated with Neteller which is the most popular online E-Wallet for US gamers.

Yes, if there's anything that gives me hope for Britain, it's that the nanny state isn't as bad as that of the US yet. Yet. There's still time to fight back and vote for a democracy at the next turn!

It's the not knowing if anything was processed that puzzles me, I've not been having the losers as much lately but I'm happy to see an amount this month, although not quite on the loser level as previous times hehe it still makes me feel better after turning down several domain offers this month.

But I understand it was just as difficult with affiliates asking if the 0.00 was correct as it is now affiliates asking, "should there have been a payment", when it doesn't appear.

And I'm glad to see you didn't kick me off the program for lack of shared loser income last month (sarcasm) Incidentally, the cashback you ran over the last few months, did that affect payout in any fashion as I don't recall you doing that this month, unless I missed an e-mail. Was it just to keep players on board through the boring Xmas period?

Also as a company do you make much off text alerts or are they just standard charge? it could be a way of me getting more income off my mobile phone sites, 'cause they don't buy ringtones much

  Hi Lee

Obviously, there is an element of trust required when promoting Jackpotjoy. You need to feel reassured that your players are tagged with your aff id and that the profit share batch file is processed on time.

Clearly, it is in our interest to pay affiliates as much as possible so that they continue promoting us. If your players generate a lot of revenue then it makes complete sense to remunerate you fairly. If our program doesn't pay out, then you can easily swap your links over to one of our competitors and that doesn't make good business sense for us.

At the same time, we can't afford to over-pay affiliate commissions otherwise we wouldn' have a long term sustainable business model.

We have a promotional budget that gets used to run player promotions of this nature. The cashback when used, does not come out of your player's revenue.

We use text alerts as a promotional tool to encourage players to come back to the site. When a player texts us for information, we charge them at standard rate so we don't make any money directly out of the texts. We make money when they come back to the site and play the games.

I hope that answers your questions

Cheers

Chris

Alright Chris,

I trust the program, there's no worries there. As for the cashback promotions, I was simply wondering whether it might have affected payout by providing a second chance at winning - but I suppose even with a second chance the house is supposed to win...

On revenue share, I've no problems at all on that either.

As for the texts, I can understand it being standard, I just saw an opportunity. If you think of a way of luring users to JJ via text and competition enabling lead generation with codes, let us know as we'd all be eager to push it. As you have a text service plugged in, stretching that to a possible advertising model and further lead to deposit isn't too unimaginable.

Each affiliate could have their own code and hey presto... I'm getting carried away again.
