Anybody managed to get the TD content units working?

Every few months I manage to muster the energy to try to get the TD content units to work

Set one up after many hours, but everytime we click refresh in IE, something different appears, either no content unit at all or different sections missing.

Has anybody managed to get them working? Just thought I'd ask publicly because sent hours on Affiliate Windows's content units and then I discovered through the forum that they hadn't been working for ages anyway and so I'd just been wasting my time

Thank you.

Do you mean the AdTools thingy?

We've got a few working OK but i must admit they do take getting used to. You have to do certain things in a certains order and when merchants mess up a feed it all looks strange on yer site!!

Hmm, I use TD AdTool a lot and haven't had any serious difficulties.
I must say that this is a great tool, but I agree with misscarolann that
there are many problems with the merchant's feeds - wrong URLs, missing
images, etc.
I've also noticed that each time I create a new Template after each edit
the tool adds an additional symbol (I think it was "%") in front of the links
and they of course don't work (this is can be corrected by editing HTML).

i tried to set them up the first time, and couldn't work it out at all, so left it.

But then i got an affiliate email from Avon, and they put instructions in the email for affiliates to get at their adtool. I followed those and it worked a charm. Used the same instructions for a couple other merchants, and worked fine.

Having said that, i've removed them all now, cant remember why though.

Here's the relevant part that i followed:

---------------------------------------------------

To start using these please do the following:
Go to Ad Management >> AdTool

Click on "Search Template", choose "Advertiser Templates" in the Template category" drop-down and choose the Template called " AVON, small" or choose the template called " AVON, large".

Choose to "show code/preview". Select the site you want to add the AdTool unit to (you will need to make sure that you have been accepted to the program with the site you select). Select the Merchant Content Unit called "AVON - Best Sellers"

Preview the AdTool unit. If everything looks ok, copy the code and paste it into the HTML code of your website.

You can also grab the code directly here and start using the AdTools on your website. Make sure to change a=XXXXXX to your OWN site ID.
