Yes there is, PC World pay commission on Collect at Store whether the item is actually collected or not - any programme like Collect at Store will always have a high number of 'no shows' - no doubt made even higher if the person placing the order is receiving a few pounds in cashback.
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.

    Hi All,

PC World would like to make you aware of some important changes on the way we reward affiliates for
    Collect @ Store purchases.

Unfortunately we have seen an increase in false orders, which means we need to temporally change the
way we reward affiliates for Collect @ Store orders. As of 19/02/07, we will be rewarding affiliates
with £1.00 per reservation made via your sites.

As mentioned, this is a temporary measure and we anticipate that we should have better system in
place to detect falsely placed orders within 12 weeks.

We are working closely with TradeDoubler to build a more robust tracking solution to highlight
issues/false orders immediately. Once this has been developed and we are happy with the results we
can return to the current commission structure.

I would like to thank you for your continued support, and look forward to speaking with you soon.

If you have any questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to drop me a note.

    Many thanks

    James Carter
    PC World Affiliate Manager

Or if you have any questions please contact:
    James.Clifford'@'TradeDoubler.com

Just get your staff to do there job, failure to pick up, get NO COMMISSIONS cant be that hard to do, surely ??

£1.00 per reservation!!!! Thats going to be just as open to abuse as paying a percentage!!!! If not more so IMO.

Its such a shame that the system is'nt quite right yet, its such a good option to also get commission from collect@store sales.

Still good to know its all gradually being sorted and not being withdrawn totally.

It would be nice to think that once a mechanism is in place to track false orders, Collect@Store will be again rewarded at the same level as online orders. The 50% rate was brought in to compensate for No Shows...

Now I'm confused - if there has been an increase in 'false orders' then by definition you must be tracking real orders (otherwise how do you know there has been a change in the number of false orders?) - so why not properly reward the true orders rather than offering a nominal £1 on all reservations?

I wish they'd sort this out sooner. It's gutting to see laptops and other big ticket items in my stats with £1 commission.

This is still not resolved. I think this really summarises the merchant & network.
