New look and feel; with enhanced functionality for your reports

This release will result in faster reporting performance alongside several improvements to the functionality and usability of your interface.

Hi All,

As you may be aware, we are launching additional functionality and a new look to several reports in the Publisher interface on the 7th March.

The roll-out plan for these reports starts here with this brief introduction!

1) New Reports Interface.

Many of the reports have an updated interface facility that allows you to search with a wider selection of options (the main changes are listed below):

- You can now select an affiliate Website and choose to show transactions related to a specific category. ( For example, a shopping directory website may only want to see the transactions for programs that only fall within the Travel category. Previously the only choice was to search results for 1 or ALL programs.)

- There is the option to search by Country, which is useful for Cross border affiliates.

- You can display transactions in a specific currency.

- Additional time periods ( this week, last week )

2) There are several new metrics/fields that can be displayed in the reports under "Advanced" options (the main ones listed below)

- Time last updated - So you can see how recently the report has been generated or identify any lags.

- You can view digital wallet transactions ( withdraws and deposits )

- New Columns calculating your EPM, EPC and AOV ( Average Order Value )

3) New Reports Functionality

- Cross link to other related reports and drill down to detailed information to access information faster.

- Custom Metrics - The ability to create fields based on your own specification/calculations.

- "My reports" - Save your reports in your own area (no more selecting filter options every time!)

- Subscribe to "My Reports" and get them emailed to you (or your colleagues) in the format you specify.

- New data export options - XML and CSV options in addition to XLS, HTML, & PDF

4) AdTool Template Improvements

- Ability to add pools to the AdTool unit.

- Ability to add flash movies to your AdTool unit. Including dynamic pre-made Flash buttons which you can use.

- Improved the preview with rulers so you can see the actual size of your template.

5) Improved Graphical Element Search including ability to search for Graphical Elements by keywords.

Further information regarding the specific features will be provided prior to release. We will also provide user guides within the TradeDoubler interface with screen shots and examples to guide you through the new functionality and ease the transition. Overall we believe that the user experience will be improved and you will have access to a number of new and powerful features.

Will reversal commission be one of the additional fields? That's the one I persoannly really want to see for transparency without always refering to the event breakdown report

Hi,

Digital Wallets (deposits and withdraws) will be one of the fields within the program overview report. However overall it will be easier to identify denied/removed sales through the cross linking options.

Hi,

I'm getting 'error 500 - internal server error' when trying to run the Program Overview or Event Breakdown reports from 'My Reports'. They're fine when run from the main menu though.

Initial thoughts are that the new reports look good - though you need to sort out the rounding on VAT on the Account Balance Breakdown report rather than showing it to 7 decimal places....

Proramme Overview reports are not working using Firefox 1.5 browser. It just hangs up with Please wait, processing report...
It works using IE.

Event Breakdown Beta is producing incorrect Order Value and Commission totals (the amounts in these columns are being duplicated where there is a delivery charge listed).

In the event breakdown I like the fact I can see what sale the site comes from withough having to select sites seperatly - much easier than old way.
I do see a problem when every item is listed seperatly for the same sale - I think the old way was better for that.

The colours help too - specialy when you get old and eyesite is getting dodgy

Hi all,

Thanks for your input!

We have run the reports in parallel to allow teething problems to be ironed out; as well as allowing you to get accustomed with the new changes so that it does not disrupt your activities.

These reports will be run in BETA until the 28th March and during this time patches will be released to the system. After this date only the New Reports will be available.

Many bugs have already been identified/fixed or are being prioritised for fixes and will be released in due course (so please don’t expect immediate updates to the system). However should you identify something please let us know (on this thread or via email at sanmi@tradedoubler.com).
