Npower is raising its prices for domestic customers for the second time this year.
Electricity and gas prices are set to rise by an average of 13.4% and 15% respectively.
This follows its price rises of 13.6% for electricity and 14.5% for gas, which took place in January.
energywatch Chair Ann Robinson, commented: When npower put up gas prices by 4.3% they chose April Fool’s Day. That was a clear pointer to their attitude towards their customers.
She added: We advise npower consumers to shop around and see if a switch to another company can save them money. That is the best message of all.
That company should be Powergen and our affiliates should be the ones to benefit, so why not get the message out and encourage consumers to switch to Powergen, today.
In most cases Powergen remains the cheapest supplier and if not always the cheapest, a very close second.
