Hola, long time reader, first time poster.

I am a prospective TD Merchant with a dilemma. I've been told a rev share prog will be more popular than a bounty prog, however i require some heavy IT development to implement a rev share prog.

In YOUR opinion, which am i better off doing:

    1. launch now with bounty, rev share later
    2. wait for rev share, then launch.

thanks in advance for your mucho valued opinions.

    Launch now & change later

Do you mean rev share or profit share?

Launch now with bounty and implement rev share later but make it optional cos some affiliates don't like the idea of rev share
I don't like hidden campaigns unless i can see them

Either way, end up doing both, programs that just do one or the other don't excite me. Reward at sign up and reward for ongoing custom.

When you say ongoing custom do you mean reccuring leads? Cos i think the original poster was talking about revshare as in you send a customer to them just once and everytime the customer returns to their site and performs an action you get paid. Kind of what the casino sites are doing these days. Instead of paying £50 a lead they are paying 20% for the lifetime of the customers actions on their site. In such a situation asking for an initial lead bounty and lifetime revshare is asking a bit much. Don't get me wrong as an affiliate i would be over the moon at such an arrangement but that would be a bit of an ideal world.

This business is made for ideal worlds, that's why I'm with jackpotjoy. Maybe not a bounty but enough and plenty 'profit?' share. If a casino partner doesn't have sign up and only rev share, I aint happy so don't use them and I certainly won't use ladbrokes if they think they can have four cookies for one offering, bleeding cheek.

    Cheers guys....

Hmm, had decided to hold off, but i might see if i can get the bounty system set up now so.

having both a rev share and bounty payment - well it could be done, but couldn't be as good value as a rev share or bounty alone. although i'll have a think about it.

    thanks again.

It depends what you consider good value, for instance, seven sign ups of £20 each and £3000 in profit share one month later, who's going to argue that? perhaps I am in the minority and that's a rough deal.
