Who do we talk to as the code they are providing is invalid.

We use strict xHTML on our sites and they are atempting to display the £ symbol which is invalid and should be £ for true validation.

    Can anyone help ?

If you are expecting third party data to be correct and you are building up your business around other people then you are asking for trouble. MY suggestion is of course speak to them but you must have your own error handling in place otherwise if i want to break your site all i have to do is look at what kelkoo are not doing right and go submit it.

There is dozens of areas where it can all go wrong it would be much better programming to accomodate these errors if you know there is a chance they would happen.

I guess thats not what you want to do at this stage but just a suggestion.

    Regards

All Kelkoo need to do is change '£' to '& pound;' (no space) that means it will work in 100% of places and not break for anyone using or not web standards.

If they stuck to webstandards they wouldn't have a problem. I don't mind changing our code as its a personal site, but if i said to a client their page wont validate because of a 3rd party they would want them to sort it out.

Will leave you to it i think, standards are ideals. We already know 95% of sites fail one standard or another...
