Hi All

Currys Reserve & Collect is coming soon to Currys – we have a few products currently available, however these are for testing. Once we launch the new service across a bigger range of products a full communication will be sent to all partners.

Naturally affiliate links etc will need to be tested before this service is launched.

Thanks as always for your support; we are really looking forward to Reserve & Collect driving incremental business for you.

Eveything i read on this forum about reserve and collect from other merchants (PC world seems todays favourite) seems to mean bad news for the affiliates!
At the mercy of some spotty 16 year old putting the correct codes / right product that was reserved through the till - and then relying on the tracking software to get it right!
Good luck. - Not a feature that would make me promote it more.

Currys Reserve & Collect – NOW LIVE

I’m really pleased to announce that Currys.co.uk has launched Reserve and Collect. This is a great enhancement to our site plus a great service for our customers. Currys Reserve and Collect will only be available on limited products to start with; however this will be increasing in time.

Affiliate partners will be rewarded for Reserve & Collect sales at 50% of your current segment rate. Reversals won’t be processed on Reserve & Collect sales; however store sales will be monitored inline with reservations made by your site visitors. Sales will be deleted if any partners are sending abnormal amounts of uncollected leads.

The new segments are live in your accounts NOW.

I will update you next week with a list of the products which are going to be included in the Currys Reserve & Collect.

Can you tell us if there will be two shopping carts on the Currys site now?

The PC World site has two carts and the default seems to be Collect @ Store, which is not really good for us as affiliates in terms of the level of commission.

By the way I ordered something myself using PC World's collect @ store the other day and the whole process put me off completely. The staff at this particular store seem to think you're just wasting their time, as they have to leave the desk to pick the product off the shelf for you. I would have thought collect @ store items would have already been put to one side, waiting for you to collect them.

The shopping cart process is different to PCW, we have one cart with an option to buy online or collect from your local store.

Sorry to hear about your experience in one of our PCW stores. Most stores prepare the products in advance.
