Is TD right for my site?

Hi All,

This is my first post so Hello!

I run an image gallery that is built of user defined content. I've been using Tradedoubler for some time now and although my traffic is becoming reasonable (418 uniques yesterday) I've not seen any returns - Am I being a little pre-emptive?

Personally I'd love to convert to azoogle or adsense because the CPC seems to generate more money but my site has adult content and neither of these schemes support that.

I am presuming you are an affiliate and not a merchant?

Depends what type of Adult Content it is. If its all above board and legal, then I would give the likes of Affiliate Window, Affiliate Future, and PaidOnResults a go. They all have lingerie or adult toy type of merchants.

Personally I would join as many networks as I see fit for a particular website. Don't give in either - you wont see a BOOM but gradually with some TLC your site could generate a nice little earner.

Yeah it's all above-board stuff on my site. Including the recent legistlation changes...

I'll do some research on those names you've given me - I'm a newbie to all this and I haven't heard of any of them so hopefully there's one (at least) that's right for me.

I think that everyone expects results straight away and I'm no exception - I'm not a patient person at the best of times

Interestingly I found this forum because I'd had 67 hits from it this month but I couldn't find a post containing my URL... strange

TD have now decided that they can't work with my site because of the adult content which is a shame because TD make things so easy for webmasters.

Hopefully I'll start another project where I can work with them again

Sorry to hear TD won't work with you anymore, but I think they are being slightly hypocritical, I know they have Ann Summers as a Merchant and they have a lot of adult orientated stuff on site that are only fit to be advertised by other adult orientated/content sites

danieltay - harsh, proof? I've worked with TD for over 5 years now and have received a fair bit in commission, their support has always been great, and geenerally no problems at all. if you've had trouble id just as that you talk it out with them

pondlife - from the sounds of things you'd be well suited with Natural Instinct on Paid on results, they also have the likes of la senza & be cheeky. POR are also pretty sh*t hot with using data given t them so you can pick up content units (copy and paste code) for your site for all those (I think).

Best of luck with your site im sure you can make a huge success out of it, but as its already been said dont expect money over night, work at it, put the time in, and you'll see huge rewards further down the line
