    Hi all

I've logge in to my TD account today and noticed that the balance has dropped from yesterday by about £3. I noticed a similar thing last week when it had dropped by £5. I only earn about £10 per day through TD so it's quite noticable. My question is, how can I see where this has gone and why it has disappeared? I've taken a look through the reports and can't seem to find it anywhere

    any advice much appreciated

    Hi 10k,

    Removed Sales

Please log in and click on "Other Reports" then "Event Breakdown". Tick the "removed" and "all" box. Then change the date from 3 months ago till to date. Run the report and you will be able to see any removed sales.

The most common reasons why a sale can be removed by the advertiser are:

The credit card used to make the purchase was fraudulent.

The credit card used was rejected by the bank.

The order placed was subsequently cancelled.

The goods were returned under warranty.

    Removed Leads

Leads can be removed if the user supplied false contact details.

Leads will be removed if the user had already registered.

    Hope this helps!

In event status use the drop down to highlight "Denied".

In fact once you have found this report, you may discover that some of your programs are not as profitable as you thought! Watch it regularly for presistent offenders!

Cheers for that Bob. That does show some sales denied (all from the same merchant funnily!) but still doesn't add up to what has disappeared off the account balance, plus there is no indication of why or when they were 'denied' so ultimately not much help at all.

I also still cannot find the 'removed' box in this report - Elena could you possibly point me in the right direction?

I know in the Affiliate Future interface you get the reason for deletion and the date (I think) of deletion which makes reconciling the figures much easier

Surely TD have something like this???

A challenge to anyone who wishes to accept. Find the 'Removed Sale' box

I've been trawling through the TD help section to find the answer and in the help section I found this

"Please run the Event Breakdown report. Make sure you tick removed sales and change the dates to at least 3 months back."

I'm worried that I may be going blind as I have been staring at the event breakdown report for 20 minutes and I cannot see a removed sales box

So where is this elusive 'Removed Sale' box??? Answers on a postcard

Oh great.... my balance dropped by 150 quid today.
I wish they didn't add 'pending' items on to the balance or earnings.
Leave it aside until it's been approved. Then add it on. It's so much better psycologically to have something held back until it's approved, than to have something given to you, then taken away

I like the way AffiliateWindow does it. Have 2 separate balances. one for 'pending', and one for 'approved'. Then it's easier to see how much cash you are sure to get, and how much you might get.

There's not a tick box, I think thats how it worked on the work on thier old system

On the event breakdown report if you go to: Event status: > Denied - Then Run the report.

Spot on Shaun 200 - I tried to explain this earlier. There is no "Removed Sales" box! It's called DENIED!

What a very theatrical and psuedo-religeous experience that sounds like ("And yea, the Lord's three GearZone sales were thrice denied by TD before sunrise"). So much more emotive than "Removed Sales"!!

Ah I see! A little confusing as Elena had copy and pasted from the old help guid at the top of this post! At assumed that denied and removed were different (ie, denied is a sale that was not approved and removed was one that was approved but subsequently removed. I agree that affiliate window have a much more transparent system. Webgains is even better as you can list all sales and the icon next to it tells you the status. You'd think with the technological power behind TD, they wouldn't be so far behind in the reporting field!

If you run the Event Breakdown Report and leave the event status set to 'ALL,' when you run the report there is a column called pending status which lets you know if the sale is accepted (A), Denied (D) or still in pending (P).

    Hope this clears things up.
