You provide good reporting within the TD website for affiliates, how about a decent API interface so that we can have our websites drag the stats/clicks directly into our databases such as the event breakdown report.

    Hi,

    Thanks for more feedback!

    - Aotagain: I will check to see if this is possible. If it is, then I will try to make it happen. Thanks for the feedback!

    - Martynh: We can actually do this already. Please contact our publisher support team and ask them to enable you for remote reporting. You can then run an api for the event breakdown report and pull all your stats remotely.

    Regards,

    Andy

I'll do that tomorrow. As this is already a feature then I have to say as another suggestion that you educate the rest of the TradeDoubler team as to what is on offer. I've mentioned this a few times over the last couple of weeks to many senior members of the TD team all of who agreed it would be a good feature to add and 'will pass it on to the relevant department'

PM me if you want their name's

TD needs a proper system for merchants that are closing.

For example the World Vision programme apparently closed at the end of April, but there was nothing anywhere on the TD site to say it was closing, and it stayed live (even accepting and approving new affiliates, and tracking sales) for over two months after the closure date, until a couple of weeks ago after I complained about the lack of payments.

If you know a programme is closing there should be a system in place to tell people that it is closing (somewhere it won't be missed), and to automatically close it on the correct date, not wait until an affiliate notices there's a problem ten weeks later.

Sometimes the merchant's name is amended, to say when they are closing, but this system is no good because the merchant's name is included in product feeds, so if we take the merchant's name from the feed when displaying products, we end up making our visitors think the merchant is closing down!

    Hi Jeff,

    Thanks for the feedback...

I agree that the current 'closed programme' status needs improving. Unfortunately the current system does not support this so we have had to put a few processes in place to tackle this, such as renaming the programme name, sending emails with enough notice, updating the latest program info page etc.

The good news is that this is in our development pipeline. We first need to change the system so it supports this and then we will redesign the publisher interface to support this.

    Regards,
    Andy

    Hi all,

To continue the theme of "what would you like" and "what are we doing" I have listed a few of the new features we released today!

    Domain Verification
Publishers will have to verify any sites they register with TradeDoubler. We have done this because:
    - publishers will not be victims to fraud, as other publishers try to pass off as them
    - publishers can only verify their own sites
    - advertisers will only received qualified applications
    - it will help reduce publisher fraud

Verifying your site will only take a minute and we have created this step by step video guide for you.

    Add Multiple Domains
This has been mentioned a few times on the forum.

You can now add multiple domains to your existing registered sites. All you need to do is add your main domain in the site address field and then add other domains using the 'add multiple' domain function. By grouping all your sites under one registered site it means you only need to apply once for all your sites.

    Applying to Multiple Programs
This has also been requested many times.

You can now apply to 100 programmes at a time! The application process is the same as before. However, if you use the category selection then this will allow you to automatically apply to multiple programmes. This should save you a lot of time!

    td AdMatch - Optimisation
Ads in td AdMatch, TradeDoubler's contextual advertising solution are now being optimised by their earnings potential for publishers.

Ads are now both automatically targeted based on the site content AND automatically optimised to maximise return for all parties.

Product Detail - Event Breakdown Report
We have added new functionality to the event breakdown report so that you have complete visibility on all the products sold within a basket. Previously you could only see one of the products, where as now you can view all the products within a order.

    Visibility on Additional Domains
We have changed the screening page slightly for our Advertisers which means you have clearer visibility on additional domains!

    Pre-Payment Improvements
We have improved the pre-payment warnings on our publisher and advertiser interfaces. Publishers will now have visibility on a advertisers overview page if a program has a prepayment issue. We have also improve the warning messages on the advertiser interface.

Im sure you all agree that these developments will improve your day to day work with TradeDoubler. Many of these features have been requested by clients (publishers and advertiser) so please keep it coming....

    Regards,

    Andy Andreou

Will Tradedoubler give a sales / comission breakdrown per site (like it's always done) or will everything be lumped together?

    Hi Criscokid,

If you register the domain separately then you can do this, but if you add multiple domains within one site registration then you will not be able to differentiate them as they will use the same same id.

However, you can of course use the EPI report to differentiate your tracking links from site to site. This means you list all your sites under one site registrations, only apply once to programmes and then use the epi report to monitor the performance of each site individually.

    Regards,
    Andy

Check the quality of the information you present to affiliates regarding the merchants offerings.

Take for example The GM Card program ID 6890.

On the overview page it shows the commission per accepted application as being £45. Look now on the Info page in the first paragraph and it's now £25.

Then scroll all the way down to the bottom of the info page, 3rd paragraph from the end and it says from 1st June (no year !) the commission is £22.00 per accepted application.

I reported this a month ago to the GM Acct manager and have had no reply and its exactly as it was back then. :td

Speaking to one of the other account managers last week about another program that had the same type of issue I was told that it's the merchants that maintain those pages and they can change them as and when the please and TD do not check the content - if that is the case then you're leaving yourselves open in my opinion.

Just checked American Express and thats the same

In addition, the American Express program shows incorrect info too.

Overview page shows commission rates as

    CCGVL GBP 25.00
    CCGD7X GBP 27.00
    CCGD6X GBP 45.00
    CCGDEX GBP 30.00
    CCGDFLT GBP 25.00
    CCGS0 GBP 25.00
    CCGW1 GBP 25.00
    SBSC6V GBP 60.00
    CCGMUT GBP 35.00
    SBSMUQ GBP 25.00
    SBSL64 GBP 40.00

Then in the info page it shows ‘they will pay between £10 and £40 for each successful application generated from your site! ‘

In an incentives network publishers point of view - CallBack URLs.

I don't know if you already offer this (can't find in UI), but it would be great if the system sent back EPI values, commission made, program name etc in a specified URL instantly after the track. Again from an incentive perspective, we could use this to instantly crediting users and not rely on the CSV parsing which causes a heavy load on your servers.

Would be great to have this. Also cancellation URLs which send cancellation details if commission is revoked.

    Hi Martyn and Ross,

    Thanks for the feedback.

Martyn, I have asked the GM Account Manager to contact you about the discrepancies. Unfortunately this can happen if the info page is not updated. The overview page is updated automatically based on the segment you belong too. It also shows the generic segment. The info page is text that needs to be updated. I have asked the American Express account manager to double check this too.

We are planning some major changes to our site in the future and these pages will be affected.... in a positive way!

Ross, Can you please send me more information regarding your request. We may have something you can use already, but if not then I’d be very interested in getting more info and potentially building something. Please email me using the contact details below.

    Regards,
    Andy

    Hello

You can pull remotely the information about transactions (event breakdown report) which is great but I cannot find any option/report to find out which transactions have been actually paid? I'm looking for something like detailed report in "Reports -> Payment" but it's not possible to fetch it automatically and even if it was there is no easy way of matching transactions in that report to any other (i.e. EPI) since there are no common IDs.

Is there any other way of getting information about PAID transactions without logging via the web interface?

    Thanks

Mate, can you stop the merhcant login timing out so quickly and enable access to manage the product feed?

    Cheers!

Publisher logins time out quickly too.

Was slightly perturbed today to find that I can't manually verify a site which is under construction (it is password protected, but I provided the password) until the site is live.

When it is finished early next week I'll have found alternate merchants, and won't be in too much of a frame of mind to swap them over to my first choice merchants who are on TD.

    Hi all,

Thanks for the feedback. I have added some comments below:

SourChocolate - I would love to say that we just created this for you but that would be a lie This functionality already exists. Please contact our support team and then can enable this for your account. I have just spoken to them about this so they are expecting your ticket.

Ollie - You know the system better than most people ;-) Give me a call or contact your account manager to discuss your ideas. We can then pick it up from there.

Ric - In order to speed this up for you please contact our publisher support team and they can verify your site.

    Regards,
    Andy
