Deeplinking? Is it possible?

Every single year, I ask the same question and can never find the answer. I also hope, pray and do a voodoo dance asking the gods that someone at TD introduces a very easy deeplinking interface - similar to what is available on the other networks.

I've been trying to create a sinlge text deep link to a page on 101CD and after 20 minutes have given up. It used to be called LINK MATRIX but for some reason was changed to AD MANAGEMENT >> My Text Links on the left hand navigation.

It does says "You can use My Text Links to create your own basic text links or product deep links." but after following the instructions 5 times I am no further forward.

Can anyone tell me how I deeplink to a page on 101CD? Say for example I wanted to link to;

http://www.101cd.com/101CD/Music_Product.aspx/--Alter-Bridge-Blackbird--?productid=CD-1747403-5P

The standard text link is for me shows as;

http://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?p=3289&a=!!my aff ID!!&g=16824870

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I think it's as 'simple' as adding this to the end of your basic link:


&url=http://www.101cd.com/101CD/Music_Product.aspx/--Alter-Bridge-Blackbird--?productid=CD-1747403-5P

I'd always assumed that adding .. url(http://www.deeplink.com) .. to the end of a TD link would work. Thus, in your example ..

http://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?p=3289&a=!!your aff id!!&g=16824870url(http://www.101cd.com/101CD/Music_Product.aspx/--Alter-Bridge-Blackbird--?productid=CD-1747403-5P)

Can't test it as I'm not affiliated to them, sorry.

Note - it may be &url instead .. ( Edit: just checked, it isn't!).

Hi All,

Deep linking on the 101CD program is possible, unfortunately the program was missing from the My Text Links section of the site therefore you were not able to obtain the correct instructions. I have not added the program to this section.

Standard deep linking requires you to simple add the desired URL to the url parameter to the end of the tracking link.

Deep Linking Example for ASDA

http://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?p(47933)a(407311)g(16324868)url(TARGET_URL)

Replace TARGET_URL with the full URL you want to deep link to. In this case I am linking to TOSHIBA BLACK 32" HD ID LCD Television

http://www.asda-electricals.co.uk/shop/product/toshiba/32c3030db.html?

Therefore your deep link should look like the link below.

http://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?p(47933)a(407311)g(16324868)url(http://www.asda-electricals.co.uk/shop/product/toshiba/32c3030db.html?)

There are a number of programs on the network that use bespoke deep linking methods, details on how to link to these programs can be found in the deep linking section.

In the case of the 101CD an additional parameter is required for the end of the link:

http://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?p=3289&a=407311&g=168248703&url=http://www.101cd.com/101CD/Music_Product.aspx/--Alter-Bridge-Blackbird--?productid=CD-1747403-5P&asptnr=9691

Hi All,

Please note the deep link for the 101CD program I included in the last post will not work in the text format send to your email address. This is due to additional characters added by the AU4 system.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have followed you intructions and have link in place. I can also see the DEEPLINK button within the programmes.

Much appreciated and glad to see that TD is as simple as many of the other networks
