Invoicing Question Re: Transactions not yet invoiced to merchants

Upon looking in the "Account balance breakdown report" there is a sub-section called "Transactions not yet invoiced to merchants" which lists various merchants and amounts not invoiced.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to say what periods this is for nor does it obviously tie in with any other sections, if it does at all.

What concerns me, is that there is a fair amount sitting there and a fair proportion from programs / campaigns which we know have closed.

I was wondering if any other affiliates have checked this section before & for Tradedoubler whether affiliates would actually see payments for these?

As far as I can see this section is where all new commission goes if it doesn't go into the prepaid or pending sections. It then goes into 'In payment period, but unpaid by the Advertiser' and sits there a few weeks before going red

Yes, but some of the programs are closed and have been for a while, so "if" they were not invoiced, why not? And does this reflect an incorrect balance displayed on the homepage? 2006 in a few instances

I've also got closed programmes in the not yet invoiced section. I suppose in the case of the merchants that went bust, if TD hadn't invoiced them before they went under, these transactions will just sit there.

For programmes that underwent planned closures, you'd expect them to be invoiced as per usual.

So if they are programs which have closed but merchant still in business, why haven't TD sorted payment (or kept us informed) or have they been paid but not passed on to affiliates (paying themselves first, which was pointed out in another thread by a merchant who left the network). In my scenario a significant portion of the balance is from merchants still in business.

Surely they can sum the totals of all the affiliates for closed programs & rectify or is that expecting too much of a network as a trusted third party or if giving them the benefit of the doubt, the balance sheets are a total mess and they shouldn 't be displaying.

If merchants that have gone bust, then this reemphasizes need for pre-payment where some networks still pay the affiliate.

Basically from what we see in that chart, I don't really think it's good enough, how does this compare with other networks with merchants leaving outstanding balances on confirmed & pending sales with each possibly bein treated differently.

It's not just closed programmes that have old commissions in the not yet invoiced section, they haven't invoiced World Vision since March.

TradeDoubler seem extremely slow at getting their affiliates to pay up. We have payments unpaid from the middle of last year for programs that we still promote.

It would be good if TD could pull their finger out and actually recover some of these unpaid amounts in a reasonable time. I've never had such problems with any other networks...

Silence isn't always a virtue nor is it always golden, I am never surprised anymore when some networks skirt affiliate concerns yet quite happily post promotional ones, or go running to Existem if something unfavourable is posted.
