Must admit, from what I've seen so far she's pretty quick off the mark. Just could do with her running a competitor to Hoseasons with national coverage - give Julian a run for his money.

Videos of properties or surrounding areas...? Will we be able to embed them (presumably linking to BCV)?
Was talking to someone years ago who knew someone (etc. etc) who was thinking about doing this for hotels. Don't know if it ever came about, but always thought both property and surrounding area vids would be good. I think one of the travel agents did it for their properties, but they're all abroad.

Hi Trev
Some interesting gossip. Many cottage agencies run an ancient system called Kelworth. That company has been taken over by a company called Web Applications UK, which as the name implies, is a lot more web-savvy.
That may well mean that before long lots of cottage agencies can offer an affiliate tracking solution "out of the box". Which would be nice for many of us, I think.
Much as we love Elise and Julian of course :tup
And while people are singing Elise's praises, who is going to rectify this?

Kelworth sounds interesting although it'd be even better if the entire thing is run centrally somehow maybe via a network, else we're going to end up with lots of affiliate contacts and all the problems with getting money etc.
Don't think it'll affect people like Hoseasons and Bluechip since they're established at what they do and have large amounts of inventory, but suspect the regional lot will have a lot of cottages which simply never make it to people like that - yet anyway.
Not sure what you mean by "friends" - where abouts, Facebook?Elise_BCV has not made any friends yet

No, on here. But I wouldn't worry - we don't have any either (check your profile)
As for agencies. Blue Chip are only one of a number in the over 300 units but under 1000 category. But I am interested in the tiddlers too. If someone wants to go to Wyre Piddle (yes, really)for a week, and all the cottages there are let through Big Piddle rentals (no!) whoonly have 25 units, then if they can be enrolled in an affiliate scheme I can refer buyers to them and get paid. Which is as close to the meaning of life as I come, sadly.

Friends - but...but...friends just mean more people to nose into what you're doing daily and why would that be a good thing?

Big Piddle - erm, not entirely sure I'd want to add that to a page about "partners" and such, but then again, maybe there's some brilliant marketing strategy. Perhaps Blue Chip needs changing to "Crispy Chip" or "Blue Piddle"...or maybe not.
As for the meaning of life being connected with getting Blue Chip and other on board - I can see reasoning in that theory for sure. Then again, my personal take is that it would be better for Elise simply to take over the entire self-catering world and we'd only have one affiliate account to worry about. Much simpler for payments etc.
Maybe we should have words with Doug - he's probably got the money to buy out all these agencies and put them under Elise's control. Or if not, then he no doubt knows an Arab prince somewhere who does. Unless I'm slightly over estimating him.
If that's not possible, I wonder how much cash Elise has in the bank to buy them out herself? Also how many shares can I buy for £3.86?
Btw, as a sidenote - for the current "official" meaning of life listen to Bob Marley's more famous songs and you might get a clue. I would tell you, but you're probably too young to appreciate it and then you'd only forget by the time you got there. (I didn't make it official, but they said I had to add that).
