Despite not being a fan of affiliate sites (primarily because of some of the crap you see) I am going to give it a serious go on a new site I launched last month. The site is purely content and is already getting picked up by the media.
I write/manage a popular travel blog but that is 100% direct advertising, so, at the moment I am looking for beginner guides on affiliate marketing and wondered if anyone could direct me to some good resources.
I have an hotel merchant on the new site (LateRooms) but wondered is they were any better options.
Cheers

if its hotels you're pushing laterooms is good but so is superbreak. they run their own affiliate system plus you can get a cool looking white label from them which shows your logo and page design colours with their content. from what i saw laterooms do offer this but there are criteria to meet which superbreak are more flexible with
Biggest learning from AM: Don't give up! It's a journey not a destination
Where are you pushing hotels?
Whatever destination your promoting, go to travel supermarket or similar, do a search and see whos competitive. Visit their site and sign up to their programmes, there no point limiting yourself on merchants, and likewise theres no point promoting uncompetitive merchants
