Gap Adventures has officially changed its name to G Adventures.

Dear affiliate,


Over 20 years ago, we set out on a journey to transform the way people think about travel. We discovered a niche—a gap, if you will—between mainstream travel operators and independent backpackers. In the intervening years, we worked hard to fill that gap, and in the process developed a new way to help people experience the world they really came to see—the true, raw, honest and amazing world we all inhabit every day. We’ve become an industry leader by seeing ourselves less as a travel company and more as a life-altering experience company.

We’ve written the introduction. Now it’s time to pen the next chapter.

One of our fundamental principles is to change the lives of anyone who comes into contact with our company. Our business model isn’t about bottom-lines and turnover. It’s about happiness and freedom. I’ve always believed that the secret to happiness is freedom, and the secret to freedom is courage. The time has come for us to put our principles to the test and take every traveller, old and new, in a new direction.

This year, we are taking a bold step with our identity. From here on out, we are G Adventures—a change that's both an evolutionary and revolutionary step into the future.

A brand is defined by its culture, not by a corporate name or a logo—and I have campaigned long and hard to establish an identity for this company that reflects our culture and approach to the world. We remain committed to providing the best customer service on the planet and pride ourselves in outpacing our competitors in every aspect of customer satisfaction. There is a reason why people choose to see the world with us that goes beyond merely offering great trips. We are a company devoted to building communities, promoting happiness and changing lives.

In an effort to make this transition as smooth as possible, below is some important information regarding the change.

Logo
The new G Adventures logo toolkit is now available in the documents section of our merchant profile. (https://darwin.affiliatewindow.com/a...file-documents)

New website
From September 28, 2011 our new URL will be Adventure Travel & Tours - Book Your Trip - G Adventures. All existing URLs will redirect to the new address. We will also be updating all XML and API feeds from the same date. Please ensure your feeds are updated between 00:01 on September 29, 2011 to 11:59 on September 29, 2011.

Banners
Updated banners are available in the “Banner and Links” section on Affiliate Window. Old banners are still present until all can be replaced, but we request that you please use the G Adventures banners only.

Email addresses
All Gap Adventures email addresses will change to @gadventures.com Redirects have been put in place so we will still receive your emails even if you use an old address!

Phone numbers
All phone numbers will remain the same.

In every way that matters, we’re the same company today that we were yesterday. We’re still available 24/7 to answer your questions. We still offer our innovative lifetime deposit. Our roster of unique trips is still incredible and wide-ranging. We still spend every minute of our waking hours dreaming up new, responsible and sustainable ways to show our travellers the world as it was meant to be seen.
