New API Tool DEMO, Test, and FeedBack

We have some great news for those of you who are quite of a technical mind. We are developing a brand new tool for Hoseasons Products. This is the much requested API tool.

Currently the API does not have the functionality beyond viewing Live Availability, as it is a test search
to get the opinions and feedback of the interested parties. The ultimate goal will be to allow live booking
by web services, which we anticipate to be available within a few weeks.

Anyone interested in gaining access to this tool please PM me. I will need an email address as it is currently in a password protected zone. Once you go through it and test it, we would appreciate your feedback as it will help us develop a tool which will be built around your needs.

Thanks to some valuable feedback the Hoseasons product API has been updated to include more features:

Validation for input parameters: this will help the system behave more consistently.
Date: Cannot be in the past or beyond current year.
Occupancy: Minimum 1 maximum 12
Duration: 3,4,7,14 or 21 nights

Geographic Data: An extra node has been added called: ‘Postcode’, this is currently only available for UK Parks and UK Cottages - this is the first step in providing you with more accurate geographic data. We will be rolling out decimal latitude and longitude next week in search results and are working on an algorithm for passing a geo location plus range to enable you get availability within a certain radius.

Our apologies to those of you who have to put up with our changes in xml schema but we are nearly at a stage where this won’t change anymore and you can start booking!
