Any other merchant that wants to get links up now knows at least one effective way to get things moving as an alternative to threatening to remove dormant affiliates from their program.

Cheers Chris, sunshine.co.uk and everyone else. My first affiliate competition win. I've only ever had the chance to play with someone else's Macbook so this is going to be a brilliant replacement for my old Compaq. Saying that I'm chuffed is an understatement. One of the first jobs it will have this summer is getting up to Gouves and getting that site updated!

If anyone wants some pointers on how to get a programme rolling then sunshine.co.uk is an excellent example. The updating banners are great and the competition a nice incentive to get them on pages asap. More importantly though, the team behind it know the industry and are in for the long haul, it's a good site, commissions and on a network I tend to prefer. If a merchant ticks all those boxes then you don't have to think long about showing their ads.
