15th April - Paris Marathon
Ø Commencing with a food festival featuring spaghetti bolognaise, then proceeding around the monuments flanking the Champs Elysees and extending out to the town of Auteuil.
27 May - 10 June - French Tennis Open
1 June - 31 July - Paris Jazz Festival
Ø This annual summer event presents a programme of free concerts in the beautiful surroundings of the Parc Floral, with gigs every Saturday and Sunday from early June until July.
21 June - Fête de la Musique
Ø Completely different from a music festival, the Fête de la Musique is above all a free popular fête, open to any participant amateur or professional alike, who want to perform in it. This Music day allows the expression of all styles of music in a cheerful atmosphere.
14 July - Bastille Day
Ø This national holiday is a time when all citizens can feel like members of a republican nation. It is because this national holiday is rooted in the history of the birth of the Republic that it has great significance.
August - Classical Musical Festival
Ø The Parc Floral hosts the Festival Classique au Vert open-air concerts presented by orchestras from all over the world during August and September weekends.
September - December - Autumn Festival
Ø Numerous venues all over Paris host a four-month-long arts festival which includes dramatic performances, movies, live concerts, such as the month-long outdoor jazz festival in the Parc de la Villette, dance and opera, and is the largest festival of its kind in the world.
October - Paris Fashion week
Ø Following the Pret a Porter at the Porte de Versailles Convention Center, the Carrousel de Louvre hosts an exhibition of women’s designer clothes from all over the world in mid-October.
Ø Nuit Blanche. For one night in October, all of the museums, libraries, monuments and churches remain open, and district governments provide breakfast in the morning for all of the visitors who are still awake at dawn.

Ø 11 November Armistice Day
Ceremonies are held at the Arc de Triomphe including a military parade down the Champs-Élysées.
Ø Salon des Caves Particulières
Independent French producers go the exhibition centre at Porte de Versailles for a wine tasting jamboree.
December
Ø Ice skating
Take your family to the ice rink in front of the railroad station at Montparnasse, where you can skate for free, just down the street from the famous cafes, beginning December and lasting throughout the winter, as long as the ice is frozen.
Ø Mystery of Christmas
The Nativity story is recreated on the steps of the ancient Cathedrale Notre Dame de Paris every half-hour during December and January.
