Hi Doug

It looks really good

It gets confused if the departure airport is Southampton though. I tried Southampton to Paris and Southampton to Jersey and both times it gave me results of Southampton to New York.

It worked fine for Manchester - Dublin though.

Looks really good! Very clean design, I really like it.

Pretty quick too. Only thing I did find wrong was I did a search, and it went to the results page and showed the header, but no results. I refreshed the page and they all came up, so there were some for the search but they didn't show initially.

Should do really well, wish you the best of luck with it.

yup nice and clean.. and it looks nice.. ummm are you sure you guys designed it ? lol

only joking.. but you do like the ugly sites and this one looks cool !

ok I did two searches.. east midlands to valencia, the first one just refreshed back to default index with prefilled fields, second one showed asap header but no results

One thing with flight sites that bugs me is having to say which airport I'm flying from first... I'm pretty centrall located so I can fly from : manchester, leeds bradford, doncaster, east midlands, birmingham, humberside etc. as all are within an hour and I can't say as I'm too fussed which one it is mostly but to find a flight I sometimes have to try them all to find the best times and or price.

The odd site offers an area search such as "north east" or "midlands" etc. and it'd be nice to have an optional drop down/slide out area like airline-network's with advanced functionality like this or even select several airports, also whilst we are on the wishlist, it would ideally have multiple destinations functionality too so you can go say .. london to san francisco, and vegas to london. sites offering this don't always find something but it's a valid feature,

I spent the best part of an hour the other day trying to find a flight to geneva, then geneva to valencia then valencia to uk.. comparing times and prices at different UK airports and flight providers .. I gave up in the end.

Looking good doug. The search screen is user friendly and the system seems to be pretty fast pulling the results although I get the same problem as mentioned before. When I hit search it just shows the header. I have to hit refresh to get the results, sometimes more than once. Using Firefox 2.0 here. The search itself is pretty rapid and transfer to a flight supplier's site painless.

With flight searches in general I find that some results only a computer could come up with as viable 'Economy' options and they're just a distraction. Fifteen hundred pounds for a Manchester depature return to Crete with two stops each way seems a waste of screen space when the cheapest and probably most convenient option it came up with for the chosen date was around 250. Is there any mileage in having 'No more than x transfers' and 'No more than x pounds' options on the search screen?

Even at this early stage though, it's a lot easier to use and coming up with more competitive results than most out there.

Didn't work at all for me at all.

It kept sending me back to the homepage with the options I selected removed. Needs more development as I can't get past the first click... I have IE7, Norton, Windows Vista, Pop-ups blocked and un-blocked if that's any help to you...

Not going to test it any further though...

Retrolink and everyone else, thank you very much for the feed back; it is extremely valuable to me.

All these comments and feedback will be looked at. I would like to re-iterate that i still class the test site as an alpha release; put simply, full of bugs and untested.

Here is where i'm at running this site, i'm confidant i have all the foundations of the search engine and core usability in place.

To follow: alpha testing in closed community groups like this one. Then a beta release available on the public site.

There is still a lot more work to do, especially on privacy policies, virus scanning software, maximising compatibility with browsers, crystal english, disability compatibility, compatibility with different OS and mobile devices .

My goal technically with this project has always been to deliver useful, price driven results to the user in the shortest time possible. It will only ever be about simplicity and usability.

I'd like to thank everyone again and welcome any further feedback.

Cheers
ben
