I saw this the other day, apparently after the outcry they decided not to use actors.

Does seem stupid though that the airlines have to do things like this, and running empty flights all over the world purely to meet their quota so they don't lose airport slots. I know with flybe they didn't have to do it, but with the amount of money at stake it's pretty obvious they would do something like it.

The government are taxing everyone and saying its for "green" reasons, so I don't see why they don't outlaw practices like this which increase pollution for no purpose. There should be a different system to allocate airport slots, rather than based on quotas which encourage airlines to do things like this.

Mind you, with the state of the new heathrow terminal, it's not suprising theres no sensible system in place

yikes.. shame, I've always liked flybe, they once swapped airports for me with no hassle or BS and charged me nothing, which really impressed me as normally you need to pay to change the slightest thing about a flight, never mind which airport you are flying back from.

hope it's not a sign of trouble brewing for them, .. although I reckon they'd do better to offer a free flight to poland for every one taken to dublin and back instead of the £80 payment, I'm sure norfolk would almost empty of agricultural workers, plumbers and dentists overnight
