  alpharooms feeds

Hi All
I'm in the process of setting up an Alpharooms feed, and i'm trying to get it into my db.

The problem is that the csv feed is two tiered. By that I mean that there are headers for the normal stuff like Names, productURL etc etc and there's also a header called fields which apears to contain data that is more specific to the merchant.

I'm creating a site for one specific resort, so my sql query will only look for this resort from the database. The problem i'm having, is that the data for City (which is the identifier for the resort) is under the Fields header along with a load of other data, and i'm having a nightmare extracting this when running my input script to populate my database.

As City does not have it's own specific header, how can i get it to apear as a coloumn in the db?

Any help would be appreciated, as I now have very little hair left.

Cheers

Hi,

It sounds like your using a TD feed. Anything we supply that doesnt fit their feed template gets put in the 'other' section. These are all separated by a ; so it is possible to split them out.

Although if you just want to PM me your email address ill get a feed sent across with all fields in separate columns for you

Cheers

Thanks Dan

And just to clear things up, the issue i'm having is with Tradedoubler, and not Alpharooms.

I'll open a new thread under the merchants section, but if I dont get anywhere, I may take you up on the offer of your feed.

As most of the merchants i'm affiliated with are on td, I want to get my script working wih their feeds first.

thanks for your help
