I'd welcome any feedback or comments from other affiliates who use the Affiliate Future interactive tools for comparing flights, car hire, holidays and accomodation. I'm looking to include them all on a new site currently being developed.
Do you find them reliable? Buggy? Convert well?
Are there any better alternatives out there in your opinion?
From working with our own affiliates who also use the AF technology i've heard good things about them - definitely wise to use the tools if you've got room and the right audience.
Of course supplementing them with links to the tour operators directly (such as Thomson.co.uk) would work well. Thomson is on CJ, feel free to email or pm me for further info.
would agree with pete when using any sort of webservices or API. As inevitably things can go wrong, you are relying on another company's server (any more than likely a couple of other companies in the line) to give you the data and then your own to use it - if things go wrong and theres an error somewhere in the process you could end up with no way for the visitor to exit to a merchant site.
Couple of text links on the page make it possible for the user to pop off and visit the merchant should the technology let you down
