Thomson’s Latest Resort Videos – downloadable now!

Hi all

We’re proud to announce that Thomson Holidays, in collaboration with Commission Junction, have created some new innovative video banners available for all affiliates to use.

New research has shown that ‘68% of online travellers say that travel podcast or online videos has a positive influence in determining where they purchase their travel’. (source: The PhocusWright European Consumer Travel Trends Survey)

The videos are of outstanding quality, and feature top holiday destinations like Goa, Mallorca, Ibiza, Egypt and many more. For an example visit: Ibiza

In addition they are user-friendly, allowing users to play and pause the content freely and most importantly they won’t start unless the user clicks on them!

There is also a link through to book the destination and the videos are also deep linking into the landing page for the destination.

The links can be found under the advanced link section for Thomson when you log into your publisher account.

Where have all the CJ links gone?

When I log into to my account there, every link to Thomson seems to have disappeared.

It's working OK for me.

To see the vids do 'Additional Search Options' and pick 'Advanced Links'.

My country/language settings had been changed to France, so the only advertisers I could see were French.

Interesting idea. Only thing is, are the videos supposed to have blured bands at the top and bottom? Tried in IE6 and FF2 and both display the same way.

Anyway, will keep a note of this and see if we can use them.

The only thing I'm getting is links to videos- is there a way to embed them onto my pages?

Some links are simple text links to the videos, which show on an external player and others are actual (eg. 10565706 Cuba video) videos you can put on your site.

You just need to go down the list to find a suitable video for your site.
