2 simple Q's..

1. Reading through the terms and cond of a Host I nearly signed up with it stated something under 'unacceptable uses' about Affiliates. Are there certain web hosts that you can't store AM sites on, or did I read wrong??

2. Also just realised that the fantastic monthly fee had to b e paid for in one go for 24mths worth, are some actually pay monthly??

1. Are you sure this wasn't referring to affiliates in the legal speak context, rather than specifically affiliate marketing. I have never heard of a host having a problem with hosting an affiliate marketing site.

2. Yes, many are pay monthly, but you normally get a better rate if you are paying 12 months in advance, but 24 months in advance is rare.

Hi Steve, please post a link to the host's T&C and I'll give you my interpretation.

Unfortunately quoting the annual price as a per-month figure is common practice. Not something we do however (although we do offer a discount for paying for 1 year in advance).

oops.. if I had remembered which of the hosting companies it was I would have posted link, sorry looked at so many over the last 2 days:blush Did think when I was on there but it was beyond my brain power at that time of night,lol! Suppose just wanted a general answer really whether there are any hosts that are a definate no for AM purposes.
