Lycos is no more in web hosting business. They are suggesting their clients to switch to their partner company.

I received lots of emails about this, well in advance and right up until the day of closure. Most of my domains were purchased through them so I had to transfer them all last month.

It's really odd 'cos I got all the emails they send with iinvoices and stuff, but nothing about this.

How painfull / lengthy was the transfer process? Did you swith to Strato as the recommend.

I didn't use Stratos as I thought their costs were too high.

I did have to ring up Lycos to ask them to change the IPS Tag for 123-Reg and then I pointed them to Servage for the actual hosting.
