Anyone using Heart Internet's Reseller Hosting package?

£30 per month for unlimited domains, bandwidth and storage (plus not being tied into a contract) seems like a good deal, as with most hosting companies I've read mixed reviews.

My main concerns are speed and reliabilty plus their ticket support system (no phone support).

I've had a good ride with Heart Internet - Ive found their support system to be good. Although Im on a dedicated server package. They've even offered some months free backup space, which has been really handy.

I'd recommend um, for sure.

Yep, I use Heart and have never had any issues. Their control panel is pretty good too, and domains are cheap. V easy to setup wordpress / stats etc and all done instantly.

Support ticket system. You usually get a HUMAN response to confirm the issue raised, and then its forwarded to a system admin who actually sorts out the problem.

It's not a lightening fast service that you would get with a smaller hosting company, but fast enough for the ££ you're paying each month.

If you've got some business/mission critical websites you might want to use a hosting provider which offers true onsite 24/7 evening/weekend support.

I just want to shed some light on the term UNLIMITED whenever this term is used to describe Disk Space or Bandwidth by any hosting provider, then it clearly means that the hosting provider oversell his services. A hard drive can not be unlimited, there has to be a specific size for example 160 GB or 250 GB or 500 GB or 1 TB etc hard drives.

If UNLIMITED Disk Space and Bandwidth is true, then there's no need of VPS and Dedicated Servers. No one would have upgrade to VPS or Dedicated Servers. So, beware of such advertising gimmicks and tactics. You get what you pay for!!!

To be honest, I've never had to use it, so I can't say. Their control panel just works and reliability is good so never had cause to call them. I even had a renewal payment rejected by my bank (they thought there were some fraudulent transactions, which there weren't) and Heart emailed and gave plenty of opportunity to fix the issue before anything drastic like taking sites offline.

Thanks for considering us. Whilst we don't offer phone support this actually speeds up support response times because it is a lot quicker to write a response than explain it on the phone and then phone queue's develop. I have seen both telephone and ticket based support at different web hosts and this method is much quicker.

Regarding the point about 'unlimited' it is true nothing in life is ever physically unlimited, but we have so much disk space in our data centre and because we keep on adding to that, it would take something pretty special to use it all up. The point it is making is that you get so much you don't have to worry about it and we don't limit how much you use.

would personally highly recommend them , support for me has been very quick , they have helped me out no end and even with scripts that is nothing to do with them , they always seem to know the answer to any problems , speed has always been good , databases run quick (even when i have had 100,000s of records).

as for unlimited? how much space would you ever need

they are not the cheapest but i guess you get what you pay for

To be fair I've never used phone support for any other hosting packages so I guess it won't be a problem.

Point taken re the term unlimited.

Probably going to sign up at the weekend and then start transferring my sites - not looking forward to that...

I seriously considered them when I was changing and really wanted to go with them. But felt I wanted a vps and they don't do that
