Hi

I'm looking to get starting with some sites. I have a few domains lined up, and ideally I'm looking for a UK Reseller hosting account (I may well add new domains in the future).

Website Hosting, Hosting, UK Hosting, Business Web Hosting seems pretty good, does anyone use these guys?

Also, I'm concerned that Google will detect the same IP number from multiple domains hosted on the same server. How do you guys get around this? Presumably by purchasing additional IP numbers.?

Also, presumably there is no reason why google couldn't perform a WHOIS lookup and identify a registrant's name that applied to several affiliate type sites? Has anyone been blacklisted by Google due to them matching up domain registrant details?

Don't know about the reseller but 34SP are reliable. I've been with them for 5 years or more and only experienced a problem in the first week - some external problem. But note they use Plesk not Cpanel for the admin.

Mind you reseller hosting is much cheaper in the N. America. I pay less than £5/month at resellerzoom.com. Touch wood, I haven't had an outtage in the few months I've been with them.

I've only really used CPanel before. Off to google to find a Plesk demo.

Ps. Do you host several sites on the ISP? Any concerns with negative feedback from Google?

Yes, so far I haven't been penalized by Google. If you're not doing anything wrong there's no reason they should.

I'm not planning on doing anything wrong and want to be a responsible affiliate.

I just wonder sometimes if google has different ideas as to what their index is primarily for.

With the IPv4 addresses running out at such a rate it would be irresponsible of Google to penalise a website's rankings for being on shared IP addresses.

I started off with a 34sp reseller account but decided to switch to Heart Internet, 34sp's support was good but I think there was a limit of 50 domains plus a bandwidth limit (might need to double check).
