Can anyone recommend a good company to host and manage a dedicated server based in the US? Would be looking for someone to monitor it, keep it running and optimise for MySQL use.
Alternatively I have one recommendation of a company to manage a server but they don't host them - is using two different companies a better or worse idea?
Dont use any in the US, but hostroute.co.uk is one that I use, and they do have an american arm.
As for 1 company to manage, and another to host in my personal opinion and from past experience in my FullTime role, I think that this would/could cause blame culture between the two, and wasting a lot of your time, trying to find out the true culprit should anything go wrong.
If you only have 1 company doing everything, then sinlge point of contact or blame, whichever way you see it.
